Luke POV

I was playing fifa in the game room when I saw Anna grab her bag and walk out. I know I shouldn't go after her, that might be considered stalking... But I did it anyways

I made up the first excuse that could come to mind.

" Hey, I have to go. My mom needs me to do something." I told them, trying to sound as casual as possible

" Oh, okay. Well see you later." They said as I walked out of the door

I thanked their mom once again and made my way out of the door. I saw Anna walk down the streets and turn the corner. I jogged after her and finally caught up to her.

" Anna." I said

She jumped

" Holy shit Luke." She exclaimed, putting a hand on her heart " You scared me."

" Sorry." I chuckled

She rolled her eyes, playfully. " So, why are you here?" She asked

" I had to go do something for my mom."

" Well, I don't want to keep you waiting." She said and started to turn around

I grabbed her arm, gently to prevent her from leaving.

" I lied, I just wanted to see you." I blurted out

She narrowed her eyes " Are you stalking me Hemmings?"

" Maybe, I wouldn't necessarily call it stalking." I shrugged

" Whatever, so did you want to tell me something... or something?" She asked me

I thought about it, I really did have nothing to tell her. I just stood there, looking at her.

My thoughts were broken by a loud rumble of thunder.It started to sprinkle and then the sprinkle quickly turned into pouring rain.

I looked at her, through all the raindrops. She was hugging herself and shivering. She was beautiful.. Do I like her? I can't though, or could I?

It was so confusing, that's when I did the unthinkable.

I leaned in and pressed my lips against hers. She stood there for a moment until she.. kissed back. Oh my god she kissed me back.

And it felt amazing..

I pulled away from the kiss and looked down at her. I smiled but she just stood there looking into my eyes

" Why did you do that?" She asked

" I needed to know..." I said

" Know what?" She asked softly

" If.. If I like you. I needed to know how it felt to kiss you and if there was a spark and Anna, there was. I felt it. Please tell me you felt it too." I said

" I think I did, when you kissed me I was shocked, and then I kissed back and I felt the.. Spark." She said, looking up at me

" Do you like me?" I asked her

She stood silent.

" I don't know." She said slowly

" Can I kiss you again?" I asked

She hesitated but nodded her head. I leaned in and pressed my lips against hers. It felt so special, she was special.

She pulled away. " I felt it."

" So did I." I smiled

" What is this Luke?" She gestured her hand between us

" Whatever you want it to be." I told her

" What if I want to be more than just your best friend's sister." She said

" You're already more than that. You're my friend." I smiled

" What if.." She paused " I want to be more than a friend to you.."

" I'll let you be. I'd like that." I said, pulling her closer to me

Both of our outfits were drenched in the rain, but it didn't matter. She smiled, while looking up at me.

" So, are we a..?" She began but stopped

" Couple?" She nodded " I think we are Anna."

" We can't tell Ashton...I don't want to be the reason if anything happens.." She said

" Wouldn't Ashton be happy for you that you found someone that makes you happy?" I asked, confused a bit

" Ashton is something different, he's way too protective and... I don't know if he'd be happy for us." She answered, softly and slowly

" Why?" I asked " Why is he so protective, he acts as if someone does one wrong move or if you go out.. he acts as if he's gonna lose you or something's gonna happen."

" It's really complicated." She looked at the ground, fiddling with her hoodie sleeves

" You told me that night at the party.. That you're life wasn't always like it is now, and that for a long period of time you were used to feeling naturally hated by people.. What's going on, what happened?" I asked her

" I haven't told anyone that, ever. I'm not so sure I'm ready to share it with you, I- I trust you, I do but... the only people that ever knew what happened back then is Ashton and his- our mom. I'll tell you when I'm ready, I just have a little bit trust issues when it comes to things like this." She looked me into my eyes

" That's completely fine." I smiled and brought her close to me

She nodded and smiled " It's pouring out, we should go home."

" Want to come to my house?" I asked her

It took her a second to answer

" Sure." She smiled

I smiled at her response. I totally am fine with the fact that she doesn't want to share her backstory with me but I can't help but wonder..

What is Anna hiding? What happened in her past that she doesn't want anyone to know about?
