Dangerous

I jolted up, a sense of force pulling me. My eyes were scared, searching the mask of the one and only Kylo Ren.

"You're awake." His voice said slowly, not a piece of sympathy or kindness hinting it.

I drew in a breath, urgently trying to build confidence. I scanned my surrounding in a split second. I was in a wall to wall room, with one small window. I gasped when I saw who was watching me through it. Rey and Finn were leaning into the window, looking desperate.

"Ah," Kylo said, breaking my trance, "I see you've spotted your friends. They can hear everything we say, but you can't hear them. Convenient, isn't it?"

"Not really." I shot back at him.

He leaned closer to me, drawing me forward with his hand. I began to panic. I could see Rey pressing her hands on the window, trying to find some way in. At first, I felt nothing. Then I began to feel him in my head, rummaging through my mind. To say the least, it was painful.

"Now now, don't be scared." He mocked.

"I'm not." I said through gritted teeth.

"Liar," he sneered, "You know where Skywalker is. And you are going to tell me or I will kill you."

Rey began to pound on the window, screaming something I couldn't hear. Kylo Ren searched my head, desperate for answers. I fought back hard, refusing to let him in. I cocked my head to the side.

"Why are you trying so hard?" I teased, "There isn't anything in there."

He used the force at his maximum power. I nearly screamed, but bit my tongue and kept him out. Blood drew in my mouth from biting down so hard. I focused, staring at him dead in the mask. He flew backwards, smashing into the wall. Rey and Finn looked at me, mouths gaping. This was the first time I'd used the force. I had startled myself. Ren shook it off, momentarily stunned.

"How did you do that?" He grumbled.

I clamped my mouth shut.

He stormed out of the room, forgetting to close the door. Rey and Finn ran in, undoing the restraints I hadn't even realized I was stuck in. Rey stared at me, dumbfounded.

"I don't get it," She spoke slowly, "Han said that first born tends to have the stronger Force. I could never do what you just did."

I lowered my eyes. "It's dangerous."

"You just saved your own life. It's far from dangerous." Finn chuckled.

"We need to go. He's infuriated." Rey said quickly, helping me down for the restraint chair.

I pulled the lightsaber from my belt buckle. It had been concealed, therefore Kylo Ren didn't know about it.

"You might need this." I said, handing it to her.

"How'd you get this in here?" Rey gasped, taking it into her own hands.

"I hid it. But I don't want to use it. Finn has a blaster and I have my own weapon," I said, staring at my hands, "You need something too."

Rey squeezed my shoulder supportively. "Hey, we'll get through this together."

We crept through the corridors, dodging Storm troopers left right and centre. My mouth gaped as I watched them pass. I never knew how many there were. A few close calls came along, but we managed to find our way through the maze of hallways.

"There are some TIE fighters over there," Finn whispered, "We'll fly one out, just like I did with Poe."

Then it hit me.

"Where's BB-8?" I asked frantically, staring at them.

They exchanged worried looks.

"They took him to maintenance to take him apart and look for evidence of the map." Finn whispered sadly.

"What!?" My voice was rising.

Rey attempted to silence me. "We need to get out of here Violet. Before Kylo Ren finds us again."

"I'm not leaving without that droid!" I practically yelled through gritted teeth.

Anger moved throughout my body as I threw my hand in a fit of fury. A wall intercom ripped off from its stand, shattering into a million pieces on the floor. My eyes widened as I realized what I had done. Fear overtook the anger. I backed away from them, tears streaking my cheeks.

"I told you it's dangerous!" I trembled, biting my lip, "I'm dangerous!"

"No you're not," Rey spoke calmly, "you don't know how to use it yet. You need to learn. But you can't learn until we leave, and we need to leave right now!"

The anger came back. "I want my droid!"

I sounded like a spoilt child, but I didn't care. I was too infuriated to care.
Before I could stop myself, my hand flicked towards them, sending each of them flying back, hitting the wall. Just like I'd done with Kylo Ren. Finn's eyes showed shock, whereas Rey's were sad. She knew.

I stared at my hands. I was dangerous. My feet guided me backwards, right into Kylo Ren.
