Bumping into the bad boy!

•Juliet's Point of View•

I stood outside the gates of the familiar red bricked school building. Hitching my bag farther on my shoulder, I walked inside.

My last first day of school. Or less confusingly, the first day of my senior year of high school. I graduate this up coming summer, then I'm finished.

I barely made it six steps into the school before I was attacked.

"We're finally, finally, seniors Jules!," my absolute best friend in the whole world, Summer Thomas, practically jumped me in the middle of the hall.

I chuckled and we walked to my locker. Well I walked. She bounced and skipped and danced around the hall. Summer was probably the happiest, most friendly person in the entire world. She never frowns, always has an enormous smile on her face. Nothing bad anyone says to her puts her down.

"And then she gave me Annabella's dress for free! It was so nice I almost cried," Summer was ranting about her trip to the mall with her 5 year old sister, Annabella. I smiled and nodded when we reached my locker.

I got out what books I would need for all my classes before lunch and stuffed them into my bag.

My first two classes were Art, with
Mrs. Rose. I waved goodbye at the still excited Summer and started making my way towards the back of the school, where the art room was.

I was humming to myself and turning a corner without paying attention, when I bumped into someone. I hit their chest, hard, and started falling back, but they caught my arm before I could hit the ground. I staggered back to my feet, steadying myself so I wouldn't trip again and looked up.

My mouth went dry and my heart started beating about a million beats per second.

Lincoln Dean, the silent, rude, bad boy of this school. One of three. But he was the worst, getting into fights all the time, skipping school, getting drunk, vandalizing property. He was all around trouble.

And I just smashed into him. He was glaring down at me, still clutching my arm in his hand. Before I had a chance to apologize or to say anything at all, in fact, he yanked me closer to him.

"Watch. Where. You're. Going," he growled out slowly, tightening his grip on my arm with each word and letting go when he finished. I stared up into his stormy grey eyes that had darkened in anger.

I didn't realize I was holding the arm that he grabbed until he pushed past me, making it fall. I turned my head to look at him and watched everyone in the hallway pale at his presence and either press themselves closer to the wall to get away or rush to class.

The bell finally snapped me out of my stupor and I gasped and practically ran the rest of the way to art, making sure not to run into anymore bad boys.
