I crossed my arms over my chest in a protective manner,"What do you-"

"Show me your pendant, Harley." Harry demanded. His tone was cold, along with his uncomfortable stare.

"No." I stammered, scrunching up my nose at his words.

"Yes." He mocked, stepping even closer to me, a smirk playing at the very tips of his lips.

"No." I repeated, gripping the pendant around my neck and squeezing it in a protective hold. I traced my finger over the intricate design, an uneasy feeling making its way to my stomach at the thought that the same one was placed around his neck at birth.

"I don't get why you can't just show me." He spit, hastily putting his hands up in the air.

"Because it's none of your business." I hissed back, my eyes doing my best to look somewhat threatening.

"It doesn't even matter, it's just a little pendant." Harry seethed, his face contouring due to his growing anger.

"Then why do you have to see it?" I asked.

"Just show me the-"

"Guys, get back in the damn game." Mikey called, sending both me a Harry a glare.

Harry squinted his eyes at me before running a hand through his hair. He made his way back to his position but his eyes never left mine. I slipped the pendant back under my shirt before making the space between me and Harry even greater.

Against my will my eyes traveled down harry's neck to his chest. His pendant shined in the bright lights of the gym. I shook my head without thinking, the pendant without a doubt a familiar looking bird.

"What?" Harry asked. I broke my eyes off of the piece of jewelry to look up at him. He eyebrows were knitted together.

"Nothing." I muttered, nervously playing with my fingers.

I let out a sigh, knowing he wasn't going to let this slide. He was going to see it. But how will he react when he does?

The girl served the ball easily, her long blond pony tail swishing as the ball made it's way over the net.

Harry took full initiative of course, hitting the ball to Tommy who hit the ball to Kaden. Kaden spiked the ball over, the team reacting slowly gladly to our advantage.

"Finally." Harry mumbled, I looked over at him but he had already beat me to it, his smile on full show.

"See what happens when you actually listen?" He asked.

I just rolled my eyes at him, figuring it wasn't worth either of our time to start an argument.

Harry raised an eyebrow before walking over to me. My heartbeat could probably be heard a mile away as his lips slowly came down to my ear,

"After class, you better show me your pendant. I don't know why you're making such a big deal but I don't like when people hide things from me. You got that, babe?" He whispered, the warm air being expelled from his lips causing me to shiver. I flinched at his use of the word 'babe' but he didn't seem to notice.

I nodded before taking a step back, not liking our close proximity.

He sent me a wink before returning his attention back to the net, my eyes doing the same.
