Always Here

"Lauren are you even listening to me?!" Her mom nearly yelled

"What? Yeah, no I hear you ma" lauren answered groggily

"Lauren Michelle you need to get it together! I'm serious!" Her mom nearly yelled once more

Lauren held her head in her hands still tired from the night before only to be woken up two hours earlier than usual to be given a lecture about her life.

"Alright ma" lauren answered

"Good I look forward to seeing this change." her mom answered

Lauren then stood up heading back to her room a threw herself back across her bed. Two minutes later her mom came back into her room

"Lauren what are you doing Get Up! Don't go back to sleep you'll be late" Clara said

"Mom I have an hour and a half left before school even starts" lauren mumbled beneath her pillow

"I don't care get up and get ready!" Clara said walking over to lauren's bed pulling the covers from over her head.

"Ugh! Fine" lauren got up got in the shower real quick, brushed her teeth and got dressed

"I'm up" lauren announced as she walked into the kitchen where her mom was drinking her coffee

"Good" her mom said "now you have no excuse to be late"

Lauren rolled her eyes turning to leave I'm gonna go see if Mani's awake yet.

"Have a great day at school sweetie" Clara said.

Lauren mocking her words as she closed the door behind her and walked over to normani's house knowing it was still really early she knew that she would still be asleep as well as her whole house she went around the side of the house and right across from her bedroom window was normani's she always kept it cracked unless it was winter lauren then quietly opened it all the way and slid through and crawled in bed next to the sleeping beauty before lauren could even get comfortable normani mumbled something

"You better not have yo damn shoes on my bed Lo" Normani mumbled

Lauren chuckled kicking off her shoes then wrapping her arm around the brown skin beauty laying her head on her chest snuggling up to her

"I don't" lauren mumbled into her smiling.

Lauren has been through many obstacles in here life whether it was family, friendship or relationship issues she had been through a lot. There was always that one person that's always been there with her through all of those times never left her side and that person was Normani.

Normani and lauren grew up together they've lived next door to each other ever since they could remember. Whenever lauren's parents would get into it or she would get into it with her parents and couldn't sleep lauren would always climb through normani's bedroom window which was a few feet from hers and crawl in bed beside normani and snuggle up to her while she played with Laurens hair and that never failed to put her to sleep right away. Lauren was so grateful to have normani in her life she was there for her whenever she needed her. In fact the only person that could talk to lauren when she was going through something was normani, lauren wouldn't talk to anyone else about the issue and normani always knew the right things to say or do to resolve the issue. Lauren was the same for normani the two knew each other like the back of their hands almost like they had been married for years. Though they're the only one's who didn't notice the chemistry between them they were already married to most of their family and friends.

Normani's alarm clock went off. She turned to turn it off and felt a weight on her waist and once she turned it off she tried to slip out of bed but failed once the green eyed girl felt her pull away and tightened her grip around her waist pulling her back into her.
