"Sam, Save the crap. Elena has already talked me through it." Jeremy says as he looks to his aunt. She shakes her head, as she reaches into the back of the car and grabs her stuff before grinning at Jeremy.

"I was only going to say to treat your new English teacher with respect and try to do good in her class." She says before unlocking the car and climbing out. Sam swings the keys on her finger as she uses her hip to close the door. Jeremy frowns, trying to figure the meaning behind her words as he copies her actions. The woman chuckles before beginning to walk away.

"Oh! And Jer!" She stops, looking over her shoulder. "It's Miss Gilbert, now." With that, she laughs as she walks off, leaving Jeremy stunned. Finally, it dawns on him and his face falls.

"Shit."

People turn and look as Sam makes her way towards the office. She was use to attention she received, but it still got on her nerves slightly. Once she reaches the main office, she smiles as she leans against the desk, next to a man with blonde hair and sunglasses. She had to admit he was hot, but looked far to young. Possibly a new student.

"Can I help you, miss...?" The receptionist asks and Sam smiles as she crosses her arms over the top of the desk.

"Gilbert, Samantha Gilbert. I'm the new English teacher." She states. The woman gives Sam a judgmental look, making The blonde's smile less real and more of a sickly sweet one.

"Hmm." Sam had only spent less then a minute with her and she could easily tell she didn't like her.

"One second." The receptionist states before standing up and walking away. Sam's smile drops as she slumps.

"First days huh?" The blonde boy states as he turns to look at her. He couldn't help but feel familiarity as he saw her, but he didn't know where.

"You got that right. First job too." Sam states, looking at her hands in boredom. She was use to the judgement. Being as young as she was, and that she practically lived in her older brother's shadow. It was no wonder that her and Jenna became best friends.

"Sorry, I'm Samantha Gilbert, but everyone calls me Sam." She says as she turns to face him, noticing he took his sun glasses off. Honestly, he looked like a boy band reject or a model with his looks, but he wasn't really her type. Especially if he was a student.

He smiles as he holds out his hand and she takes it. A coldness ran up her arm, making goose bumps appear but she ignores it as she smiles.

"Stefan Salvatore." The boy says and sam's smile falters slightly, but she keeps it up, trying to make it unnoticed.

"Oh? Any relation to Zach Salvatore?" She asks and stefan nods, both letting go of each other's hands.

"Yeah, he's my uncle. If you don't mind me asking, um, how do you know him?" Sam stutters slightly at the question, but before she could think of a reasonable answer, the receptionist returns and hands stefan his welcome pack and Sam her's. The new teacher quickly takes it before turning to stefan.

"Well, it was nice to meet you Stefan, hopefully i have you for at least one class, but I better get going." She rushes. Sam doesn't wait for an answer as she quickly dashes off to her class. She couldn't believe it. Salvatore? As in Zach? But he never mentioned any family. The fact he lied was only adding to the Gilbert's hate pile towards him.
