Anna POV

* Beep Beep Beep *

My alarm clock went off and I was immediately awoken by it. I opened my eyes to the bright light coming from the sun, shining in my face. I groaned, shut my alarm clock off and got ready for my day.

I got off of my bed and walked to my mirror. My hair was all over the place and I had bags under my eyes.

I brushed out my long brown hair and left it down. I put on my black rimmed glasses and walked to my closet.

After taking about 3 minutes trying to decide what to wear, I finally found an outfit.

In the end, I decided to wear a solid black nylons under denim shorts, a Nirvana top, and a maroon and navy blue flannel. I wore black and white converse and a black beanie.

I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.

" Hey Ash." I saw him sitting on the couch, on his phone

" Hey Anna." He replied, giving me a slight smile

I didn't respond back, instead I went to the cupboard in search of the bread to make toast.

I finally found it and pulled it out.

" Do you want toast?" I asked him

" Nah, I ate like an hour ago." He responded
" K." Was my response

I brought out the toaster and grabbed 2 slices of bread and put them into the slots of the toaster. After waiting for about 2 minutes, my toast was ready. I spread nutella on them and sat at the kitchen counter, eating my breakfast in silence.

After I was done eating, I ran upstairs and brushed my teeth. I applied light lip gloss to give my lips a little shine.

I grabbed my bag and walked back downstairs.

" Where are you going?" Ash got up from the couch and walked over to me

" I'm going to the mall with Brittany and Maddie and some other friends." I shrugged

" What time will you be back?" He asked me

" I don't know, probably about 8 or 9." I said " Or 10."

" That's like the whole day Anna!" He exclaimed " Do you need that much time shopping?"

" No, I'll probably go to Brittany's house or Maddie's house." I told him, truthfully

" Be back by 8." He looked into my eyes with a parenting look on his face

" Why so early, Ash. You're too protective. I can handle myself." I protested

" I know you can, and you know why I'm protective." A look of sadness washed over his face

I gave him a slight smile and hugged him.

" I'll be back by 8, I promise!" I said, assuring him as I walk out of the door

" No later." He yelled

" K." I yelled back and made my way to Brittany's house

I walked up to her house and knocked on the door. Seconds later, her older brother, Chase, answered the door.

" She's upstairs." He said and let me in
" Thanks." I said and walked upstairs

" Hey Anna." She smiled and sat up from her bed

She was wearing a short floral dress with a light blue jean jacket. She had white pumps on and a flower crown.

Her long blonde hair was pulled into a messy bun.

" Hey, you ready. Didn't Debbie say she wanted us all to meet at the mall?" I asked to clarify

" Yeah, she said to meet at the mall." She assured me

" I don't want to shop anymore." Cassie complained

" Okay then we'll go back to Britt's house." Debbie suggested " That's alright with you Brittany right?"

" Yeah, my mom isn't gonna be home until later tonight so we have the house all to ourselves." She smiled

When we got back to Brittany's house, it was 4: 26 and I still had a pretty decent amount of time before I have to go.

We ate some pizza around 6: 00 and then after that we just did random things.

We played some games, watched movies, went on social media.

I had lost track of time and hadn't checked to see what time it was. I turned on my phone and realized it 8: 39.

" Guys, I have to go." I said, getting up from the sofa and grabbing my stuff

" Why?" asked Debbie

" Because, Ashton told me to be home at 8 and I promised him I would be, exactly on time." I said and started making my way towards the door

" Bye." They said in unison

" Bye." I shut the door behind me and started on my way to my house
When I got home, it was 8: 52.

I had forgotten my key so I had to knock on the door.

After knocking 3 times, the door opened to reveal a frustrated Ashton.

" Oh thank god you're okay." He hugged me tightly

" I'm fine." I hugged him back

" You scared me." He lightly hit my arm

" I'm sorry I didn't mean too." I slightly chuckled " I accidentally lost track of time."

" Well, as long as you're okay, I guess It's fine." He smiled a cheesy smile

" K, well I'm gonna go to bed now." I said

" K, goodnight." He smiled

" Night Ash." I smiled back

I walked into my room and changed into some comfier clothes. I changed into an oversized white t-shirt and some grey sweatpants.

I crept under my covers and drifted off to sleep..
