Chapter 8

A lycan girls night is when we take a whole night to run, hunt and talk about boys. All of the females who could shift in a pack would do it. They would leave their kids with their mates and go out in groups.

Except this time it would only be us two.

"Yes, that's what I need. When are you free?" I ask, I haven't been this excited in months.

"We can do it tonight if you are free, I can go and meet you in the woods next to your campus" she says.

"There's a fence around the woods now" I frown.

Julia scoffs through the phone "Oh gosh, you've been spending way too much time with humans. When has a fence ever stopped one of us?"

I laugh "Right, I've just gotten used to the human rules and stuff"

"Yeah yeah, well remember. You are a shifter not one of them" She reminds me.

I sigh sadly "I know"

As much as I wanted to be normal like Connor or everyone else I wasn't.

"Well, I've got to go. See you in a few hours"

"Yeah, see ya" she hangs up.

I grab my textbook to see if I can study a bit before I meet Julia.

5 minutes into the book, I hear someone unlocking the door and Lily come in.

"Is it safe?" Lily asks sarcastically "I don't want you to go ape shit on me like you did last week"

I look down shamefully "I'm sorry, I've just been out of it lately"

Now that i know I will shift later, I feel like a weight has been lifted.

"No worries, Are you pregnant?" She asks out of nowhere and I immediately choke on my saliva making me go into a coughing fit.

"No, why would you think that?"

She shrugs "You've been really moody lately, we thought it was the hormones and well it kind of makes sense Connor is with you all the time because he is the baby daddy" Lily sits in front of me, patting my shoulder.

"We are all here for you"

I shake my head "I haven't even had sex, how in the hell am I going to be pregnant?"

"Oh" Lily says sadly.

"Plus, I don't want kids" I say and go back to my text books.

Lily freezes "What? You don't want kids?"

I make a face "nope"

"Why?" She pushes.

I shrug "I just don't want to have to give up my life for a baby. I mean sure they are cute and all but I prefer to look at them from a far"

Lily smiles "When you meet the love of your life, you'll think differently"

I inwardly laugh if only she knew that I had literally met my other half already and that he made me realize how much I didn't want one.

But I just say "hmm, maybe"

I was lying of course, no baby will ever come out of me.

"So Raven and I are going to hang out later, wanna come?" She asks.

"Raincheck? I'm meeting with a friend from home but I will definitely be free tomorrow"

"Oh okay well, next time then. I'm going to get ready" and then she just takes off her clothes.
