Chapter 2 Missing

Chris POV

Where was I? I couldn't remember anything from the point I had left my room for class. My head was hurting like hell and I felt exhausted. I rubbed my eyes and sat up straight. My heart dropped when I saw where I was. I wasn't at Kadic anymore. I was somewhere else. And it wasn't another city it was another world. The sky was blue but some white fog was covering it. The area looked like a enormous mountain chain. But it didn't look natural. Although it looked like rock it was too round and soft to be called normal. I got up and looked down on me. I was wearing new clothes. Instead of the usual hoodie and black pants I wore, I was now wearing somewhat of a body suit. My pants were still black but now really tight to my skin. My hoodie got replaced by a long shirt with dark purple around the neck area and arms. My chest and back were black enclosed by the dark purple of the suit. "What happened to me?", I asked myself and looked around me. Nothing but silence. I had a strange feeling. The feeling you get when you watch a scary movie or play a horror game. I felt watched. Suddenly I heard a strange sound. It sounded like wings. The sound became louder and behind a huge boulder they appeared. Six oddly looking flying creatures. They looked like an insect to me. A hornet maybe. They all looked the same and had a weird symbol on their heads. "Hello? Do you know where I am?" I asked cautiously. But the creatures did not answer and attacked me instead. Laser shots were fired from their bodies and hit the ground next to me. My heart started to race and I ran.

William POV

Where could he be? He usually wanders off to the park and comes back to his senses. "William, are you ok?" I heard a familiar voice ask. Aelita. "I'm looking for Chris, you know the boy from my class? He usually wears shirts with a japanese signs on them. You know who?" I asked her with a worried look. Aelita shook her head. "No, I'm sorry I haven't seen him. Have you checked his room?" she asked and looked around herself. I nodded. "Yes I checked everything, his room, the infermary, the gym, the park" I told her. She placed her hand onto my shoulder. "If you want we can look for him together. I'm sure Jeremie and the others would help too" I looked at her with a mixed expression on my face. I was thankful for the offer but just the thought of the others made me go... I don't know. They've treated me so differently after they rescuded me from X.A.N.A. It wasn't my fault that it got me that first day on Lyoko. But it was not just them. It was everybody. Because my clone, which Jeremy had created for my being absent, was a really weird guy, everybody treated me like I was nuts or about to turn into a freak show. Chris however didn't change. He didn't even ask why I behaved so differently. He thought it had been a phase to figure out who I want to be. The fact alone that Chris treated me the same way after I came back from X.A.N.A's control helped me so much. That was why it was so important to me to find him. He was a good guy and the only true friend I had here at Kadic. Aelita was an exception though. She tried her best to treat me just as before but struggled a little.

"Thanks, I will check the pool, you and the others could check the school surroundings." After that suggestions I ran off to the pool.

Aelita POV

William seemed really upset. I knew that we weren't treating him too well after we had defeated X.A.N.A but it was hard to be the same way like before. But that didn't matter now. We had to find Chris. I walked to the Lunch Room and had a look. It was filled with 10 students. Most of them were eating and talking. "Hey Aelita!" Odd yelled from the other side of the room. I wave back at him and walked over to his table. "Hey Odd, you got a minute?" I asked and looked down at his plate. "Sure what's the matter princess?" "Well William is looking for Chris, have you seen him by any chance?" I asked and hoped for an good answer. "This pro gamer of Galactic Battle?" "Yes that one." Unfortunately Odd shook his head. I sighed. "Can you help me to look for him?" Odd stood up quickly. "Of course let us check the TV-Room"

After we had checked the room and only found Nicolas and Herbert we continued in the boys dorm. "William already checked here" I said as we were walking down the hall. "Well maybe he returned" Odd countered. We arrived at his open door. "Why is it open?" I mumbled. Odd shrugged with his shoulders and we entered the small bed room. "Looks like he was in a rush" Odd said and pointed at the books, which were laying face down on the ground. A strange feeling started to rumble in my stomach. "Maybe Jeremy can help us. He could locate his phone for us" I suggested. Odd agreed and we went over to Jeremy's room. But before we could reach his door a cold white face Jeremy came running towards us. Out of breath he stopped in front of us. "Hey Einstein calm down you've never been good at sprints" Odd reminded him. "There...I...it....Aelita.." he stuttered so much I couldn't understand a word. "Jeremy calm down and tell us what's happend" His next words made my heart drop. "X.A.N.A is back!"
