The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 1

Lisa's POV

"Lisa! Get your fucking arse down here!" I hear my 'father' yell waking me up. I groan silently. What time is it? 7:42am! I'm late! I get up and get dressed as fast as I can which isn't that fast due to the huge amount of pain I'm in from the beating I got last night. I try getting down the stairs unharmed but end up tumbling. CRACK! I start crying silently as I hear my leg break.

"Lisa!!!" He shouts super pissed. I'm in for such a bad beating. I get up and I snap my leg back in place and I flinch at the sound. I head towards the kitchen where my 'father' is placed with an empty plate in front of him. His fists clenched. His eyes pitch black. His face bright red.

"Where is my food?!?!" He shouts standing up making me flinch. I shut my eyes and allow him to abuse me like he has for the past 8 years. This goes on for what seems like hours but was only half hour.

"Get me breakfast and go to school." He spits at me and I nod shakily. I try to stand up just to have him kick me in the ribs and I hear multiple cracks. I cry silently again and I stand up ignoring the pain. I make him breakfast and stick it on his plate. I wash up the stuff I used and wait for him to finish eating.

"We have a meeting with the Blazing Fire Alpha tonight. I suggest you keep your mouth shut and don't allow him to see what happens. Got it?" He demands. I nod and make my way to school. It's only a 15 minute walk. I walk in and see everyone laughing at me calling me 'freak mute', 'worthless', 'pathetic', 'emo cutter' just like every day. I go to my first class and sit at the back of the classroom by the window. The bell rings and everyone piles in. I keep my eyes glued to the outside of the window. I hear the teacher say,

"Everyone. This is Alpha Xavier Reynolds of the Blazing Fire pack. I expect all of you to treat him with respect. Go take a seat wherever." I carry on looking outside when I feel a presence sit next to me. I don't turn to see who it is because I can guess it's the Alpha. Probably going to abuse me like others. I sigh sadly. If only I could escape. I sigh again.

"Hi. My name's Xavier." I hear the Alpha say and I shiver in delight. No Lisa! Father said no friends. No contact. I nod and wave and then focus on the outside. All throughout the lesson I just ignored him even though I was basically disrespecting an Alpha but what was I supposed to do? As soon as the bell went, I run out as fast as I can and head for next lesson. I sigh in relief when I am finally feeling better now that I'm away from the Alpha. Hopefully I am away from him for the rest of the day.

"Class... This is Alpha Xavier Reynolds." YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!!!!!! That's how the rest of the day went at school. I go home trying to shake Alpha Xavier Reynolds off my mind.

"Where the fuck are you, you pathetic slut?! The Alpha of Blazing Fire wishes to meet us in half an hour! Hurry up you whore!" Father shouts in our family mind-link. I limp home as fast as I can to and get ready. I put foundation and concealer on to cover my face. I go into my bathroom and grab my razor. I cut over and over again on my stomach. I wrap up my stomach when I hear a knock on the front door. I look myself over and grimace. Ugly. Fat. Pathetic. Worthless. All these words and more slip into my head but I shake my head and breathe. You can't see the marks and therefore, I head downstairs. I see Alpha Reynolds and my breath hitches as we make eye contact for the first time.

"MATE!!!!" My wolf exclaims in my head and I look at his parents.

"Good evening." My father says politely.
