My Country Music Life

Chapter 1

( Chevy's P.O.V.)
I woke up at 6 o'clock in the morning and got a shower. When I finished all that I went and got my waitressing uniform for Vicksburg Café. Then went down stairs and made my coffee. When I turn around after getting my coffee I realize Lexi let herself in, because I bump right into her and drop my coffee.
" HOLY CRAP, Lexi at least make some type a noise when you come in"

" Sorry, maybe you should lock your door, and what do you want me to do bark when I come in."

"Let's just go to the diner you weirdo"

Lexi agrees and we go out to my big jacked up truck and drive to the diner. When we get there I turn off the truck and we get out to unlock the door to the diner. Lexi stops and reads a flyer on the bulletin thing for Vicksburg.

"Chevy OMG guess what these people are doing auditions for an opening act on their tour you should totally try, you just have to pick a song and sing it and then they will call to let you know if you made it or not!"

"Lexi you and I both know I wouldn't make it, but I do need money, that reminds me I gotta pick up the dogs from Cindy."

"This would be the perfect opportunity for money. Chevy what's the worst that could happen?"

" Fine, I will try out, but I've never sang in front anybody before except for you. "

"We will practice later, but for now, someone just sat down in your area so go wait on them."

"Yes master" I said in a smart ass tone, while saluting Lexi.

*at the end of there shift*

"Time to go, its five o'clock!"

"Yeah, but your not going anywhere because we are going to practice for your audition this Friday."

"Ugh, but I miss Bullet, Rosco and Cola."

"Yeah I know we're gonna practice on the way to get them, on the way back, You see where I'm goin with this Chevy?"

"Yes."

*Skip ride to get dogs and to get back to Chevy's*

So we finally decided which song were doing it had a special place in my heart its called "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton. Lexi and I sat there practicing even though I knew the song.

"Chevy you sound amazing your gonna blow the other people outta the water! They are gonna love you."

"I'm so lucky to have you as a friend Lexi, the only thing is with this song I might cry when I sing it."

"That just shows how much more dedicated you are than the rest of them. Come give me a hug."

I give her a hug then go out to start making dinner for Lexi and I.
