"Neo. Neo, your arm is really heavy. Come on, wake up. Your phone has been ringing for forever now." I grunted and opened my eyes, glancing at the robot next to me. As she was complaining about, my arm was draped over her stomach, and I drew it back. "Yeah, good morning to you too." I said, sitting up to face Nami. "You might want to answer that." She pointed to my chest compartment, which was vibrating as intensely as Temmie. I opened it, and took out my phone. It was Alphys, and along with it was a notification that Papyrus, Undyne, and Mettaton had also called within the last hour. I answered the call, holding up the phone to my ear. "Hey." I said, glancing at Nami. She shrugged. "Neo, get over here. Right now. I'm serious." She hung up, and I stared at the wall, blank-faced. "Come. We need to go to the lab, I guess."

I pushed open the door to Sans' room, which seemed to be where everyone was when something happened. "Hey guys, I got your-" I stopped, staring at the short skeleton who sat on the cot. He had a grin on his face, and his arms were out as if he was asking for a hug. "Ohmygod." I whispered, and I almost flung myself to the cot he sat on. "Sans!" I said through my smile. "Hey, kiddo. How you doing? I missed ya." He said, wrapping his arms around me in a hug. I moved up to sit on the cot as well, still locked in the embrace with Sans. I heard a quiet "ahem", and we both looked up at Nami, who had her arms crossed. "Hello. You must be Sans. I am Nami." She said, holding out her hand. Sans narrowed his eyes, and shook it. "Yeah. Watts up." He said. "You made that pun a long time ago Sans. It's old." I said, putting my arm around his shoulder. "It's hard to make robot puns. But my skeleton ones are rib-ticklin'!" Papyrus screeched in agony. "Your puns sure are..." I leaned in. "... Humerous." Sans snorted like a cow on drugs, and Nami raised an eyebrow. I attempted to keep a straight face, and Sans doubled over laughing, falling on my lap. "Dude... I never thought you could actually make good puns." He said in between wheezing breaths. Alphys grunted, shoving me out out of the way.
"Uh, he is still in shock, h-he needs some rest. Try not to get to c-close" she stuttered, rubbing her fingers together. I frowned, and Sans shot me an apologetic grin before turning to Alphys. "N-Now, it would be b-best if you all left..." She said. I frowned, a strange feeling of sadness clutching my soul. It made it hurt. Mettaton slid toward me, and wrapped his arm around me. "Darling, it's okay. Sans is okay."
"I feel like it's my fault though. Since I came here... Everything's spiraled out of control. Was it my fault, Sans? Was I the reason you wanted to commit suicide?" I said. The room went silent, and everyone turned to Sans. He looked down, wringing his hands. "No, kiddo. Of course not. I just-" I stood up, and strutted towards Sans. "Neo, I already told you. You can't-" Alphys was cut off as I shoved her to the side. I felt my crosshairs glow, and my right eye changed from normal view to a shooter view. My blaster activated, and Mettaton sucked in a breath. "Darling, I..." He trailed off as Papyrus started to flail a hand at his face. I kneeled down, staring eye level at Sans. He looked terrified, his eyes darting everywhere. I grabbed the back of his head with my free arm, and shoved my face to his in a forceful kiss. I pulled back a second later, turning and firing a blast at the door. It exploded, and I stepped through the remains, my blaster deactivating. I just wanted to go home.

A few months later....

Sans sighed, his hand on the remote. Drama movie, news, anime, cartoon, soccer, football, MTT channel. He stopped at MTT, watching Mettaton's slightly solemn face as he chatted with a couple humans who were on a talk show. He knew why Mettaton was so sad. Neo had locked himself in the house, and he wouldn't come out. This was the first show in a long time. Papyrus sat down next to him, looking sad as well. "Get any news?"
"No. Wonder what's going on in Mettaton's head."
"Same. Hey Papyrus, what do you think Neo is up to?" He said. Papyrus shrugged, his eyes fixed to the screen. Mettaton heaved a sigh, and continued on asking questions to the two people. The girl, who seemed to notice Mettaton's grim mood, asked if he was okay. He faked a smile and said that he was completely fine, that there was no need to worry. Her expression didn't change, but she said okay and answered his question. Break came on, and Papyrus stood up. "I gotta talk to Mettaton. Sans?" He said, turning to the short skeleton. "Yeah bro?"
"Go to Neo. After all, he was the one that-"
"Shh." Sans said, getting off the couch and walking to the door. "I got this."
