The Unnecessary Part

Oh Father,

You work on and on,

You never stop,

You are the one that makes clocks tick and chime,

You are the one that makes the days change,

You are the one that makes us all wilt in the end,

Oh Mother,

You also work on and on,

You never stop,

But you are slowly being forgotten by them,

They are killing your beautiful creations,

They are killing each other,

They are murdering their brothers and sisters,

But most do not shed a tear,

I am your child,

I am the one born from both you and Father,

I am born when the Earth and time come together once a year to start over,

I bring you hope that things will change,

But they don't,

They just get worse,

I wish I could save you, Mother,

But the children you blessed with life are throwing it away,

They are thrusting your other babies' lives smack into your face,

And they laugh as you mourn for your loss,

You try to teach them a lesson to show them what they are doing to this precious planet by changing the temperatures,

But they won't understand your warnings until they have no planet left,

After these two legged abominations are gone,

I hope you will learn your own lesson to not make them again,

For the birds and the cows and the trees and the spiders will not miss them in the slightest,

They are an unnecessary part of the circle,

The leech,

For the birds will not stop singing if they are gone,

For the cows will not stop eating grass if they are gone,

For the trees will not stop growing if they are gone,

For the spiders will not stop spinning webs if they are gone,

The world will go on as long as Father is here, Mother dear
