Before you,

I was alone,

I ran from myself,

The sands of time fell to no Xanadu,

No Kingdoms floated in the sky,

No hidden lands,

No underwater city of Atlantis,

Then you,

You were there,

You turned horses into Pegasuses,

Goats into centaurs,

Reptiles into dragons,

Fish into mermaids,

Birds of love flew,

Then the darkness shot,

A glistening ball of evil got thrown out of its cage and plunged into your beating heart,

I heard,

Breakdown,

I wept,

Niagara Falls was nothing compared to my own,

I wanted my clock to stop now,

Just like yours,

Then the clouds would take me to the Gates of Heaven where you're waiting,

We could be reunited,

But you wouldn't want that,

I have to live to the farthest breath as possible,

So I keep breathing,

Beating,

Then decades pass,

I still have no one,

Asleep in my bed is where this lone elder rests,

But never awakes,

I'm with you now
