Rose spots her brothers downstairs in the living, she finds Kurt knitting and Finn sitting on his chair watching a game.
Rose sneaks up behind Kurt and watch him knit and said.

Rose: Kurt...
Kurt: (knitting) yes Rose
Rose: (puts a magazine in front of Kurt) isn't that a cute little puppy
Kurt: (sitting knitting ignoring the magazine) yes it is Rose
Rose: (pout) you're not even looking
Kurt: (looks at it for second then goes back to knitting) very cute
Rose: you know Christmas coming up and...
Kurt: forget it Rose
Rose: please...
Kurt: no
Rose: (groan) why not?
Kurt: cause dogs are expensive, and who's going to be here to look after the dog while were in school
Rose: I don't know... it can stay here
Kurt: and tear up the house, little girl I don't this so
Rose: (pouts) come on Kurt please...
Kurt: no, N-O that's spells no!
Rose: ugh you're so not getting anything for Christmas from me (goes over to Finn and smiles at him) Finn have I ever told you you're the greatest brother in the world
Finn: really I don't remember
Rose: (bats eyes at him) of course you do (kneels close to him) can I please have a puppy for Christmas
Finn: what did Kurt tell you?
Rose: no, but...
Finn: no buts when one of us tell you no we mean no
Rose: ugh (stomp foot getting up) this stinks! You two are being ridiculous and you two won't be getting anything from me this Christmas
Finn/Kurt: (not paying much attention to her) fine by us
Rose: ugh! (stomps upstairs)
Finn: (to Kurt) you think she will find the gift
Kurt: (holds up finger to stop him) wait for it

It was quiet for a moment until they heard Rose scream from upstairs and Kurt wink to Finn and Rose came down the stairs holding something in her hand.

Rose: I knew it! I knew it! You guys got me puppy
Kurt: whose room did you take a sneak at first?
Rose: you're room because I figure you would lie to me first. The puppy so cute!!!

The puppy was small in her hand and it had a red ribbon on it.

Finn: so what you going to name it kiddo?
Rose: hmm I don't know (sits on the couch beside Kurt)
Kurt: (scratch the dog head) well it's a boy dog, so you need a boy name
Rose: hmm... How about Peanut? It sure looks like a peanut because of its brown fur
Finn: not bad but are you sure?
Rose: I'm sure, Peanut is the name I want to name my dog
Peanut: (does a cute barks)
Kurt: and I guess little Peanut seems to like the name too, don't you

The dog felt comfortable with Kurt scratching his head and Kurt smiled and Kurt said.

Kurt: alright then Peanut Hudson-Hummel is the name

Rose smile at that and the family played with the new puppy.

...

The New Directions put up a very pitiful tree in the middle of the choir room while singing The Most Wonderful Day of the Year. Will walks in and says that the tree and the presents are not what Christmas is about. He tells them they are going to help out homeless children by caroling to the classrooms around school to raise money for the kids who need it most. The first song that they sing in front of the students is We Need a Little Christmas except the students throw insults and the teacher herself throws a shoe at them and they run out. Rachel asks Finn to meet her at the auditorium at four while Artie explains to the group that Brittany still believes in Santa Claus and that they should make it so she never knows any different.

The group goes with Brittany to sit on a mall Santa's lap. They all participate in sitting on his lap so that Brittany can keep her faith in Santa.

Finn decide to take Rose along with them to go see Santa, since he couldn't leave her home alone.

Rose: (complains to Finn) why are we here?
Finn: Artie said this will help cheer up Brittany
Rose: so if I asked Santa what I want, will he give me something for Christmas?
Finn: if you want baby girl
Rose: I call first!
Puck: (to the glee clubbers) let the little kid go first guys
Rose: I'm not little (sticks tongue at him) I'm just a girl with big hopes and dream, like Brittany
