Ariana

A scream escaped my mouth and I looked around the unfamiliar room. I forgot I was sleeping over at Zane’s. I hope I didn’t wake him up. The nightmare felt so real. I took off the covers and opened the door. I saw Zane sleeping on the couch and I made my way toward him.

“Zane? Zane? Can you wake up please?” I said shaking his sleeping form.

“Huh?” he rubbed his eyes and stared at me. “What’s wrong?”

“I can’t sleep. I had a nightmare again.”

“Again?” he asked confused.

“Every night since the accident I have been having dreams about him. Can you please sleep with me? I’m scared.”

“Yah sure.” He got up and stretched out his arms and made his way to his bedroom.

He got in the covers and I followed after him and turned my back toward his chest.

“Thank you. Goodnight.” I said.

“Night.”

I woke up to a warm surface and opened my eyes to see a sleeping Zane. His arms were wrapped around my waist protectively. I was so happy right now. I didn’t have another bad dream when I went to sleep again.

“Happy Birthday!” I yelled.

“Why must you yell so loud in the morning?” he asked smiling genuinely.

“It’s a free country.” I said.

“So get up we have a big day ahead of us. First off, presents.” I said reaching over to his side table where I had his present. I gave it to him and he smiled like a little boy. “I hope you like it.” I said.

He opened the bag slowly and smiled.

“A camera! Thanks I needed one.”

“I thought it would be nice to document some memorize for you, right?”

“That was very thoughtful. I appreciate it. Let’s take my first picture now.”

“No my hair is a mess!” I said.

“Who cares? Your still gorgeous, c’mon.” he said grabbing my shoulders as I rested my head on his chest and smiled as the camera flashed. He turned the camera around and showed me the picture. It was perfect. The two of us were smiling and looking happier then ever in the picture.

I pulled the covers off of me and looked at him still lying on the bed.

“So what do you want to do today?”

“Anything.” He said simply.

“C’mon its your birthday! There has to be something you want to do before going out for dinner later.”

“Anything’s fine as long as I’m here with you.” He said staring into my eyes. I turned around and blushed before he could tell and looked through things in my bag not really looking for anything.

His arms wrapped around my waist and I turned my head and smiled at him.

“You are so sweet.” I said smiling.

“So I have been told.” He said laughing. “ I will give you time to get dressed as I get breakfast ready.” He said leaving the room and closing the door. I pulled out the green dress and heals that I packed and walked into his bathroom to get ready.

Zane

I made nutella crepes for breakfast, as she got ready. When they were finished I placed them on the table and as she went into the bathroom I changed quickly in my bedroom into a nice white button down shirt and black pants. For dinner I was going to go to a French restaurant so I wanted everything to be really elegant and fun. I wanted to sweep her off her feet and show her this is what she deserves everyday, the finer things in life. I lit a candle and placed it in the middle of the two plates and stood by her chair as she opened the bathroom door to reveal a gorgeous woman. The green dress hugged her curves in all of the right places and the black heals made her legs long and slim. Her hair cascaded down to her chest and her makeup complimented her very well. I sucked in a breath a stared at her. As she walked over toward me it looked like she was very confident as she strutted over.

“You look beautiful.” I said staring into her eyes.

“Thank you,” she said blushing. I pulled out a chair for her and sat down opposite of her.

“Dig in.” I said. As I grabbed my fork and shoved the delicious food down my throat, she took her time eating and it looked like she really enjoyed it.

When we finished I grabbed my car keys as she grabbed a purse and we walked outside toward my car.

“So have you decided where we are going?”

“Yes.”

“And where is that?”

“It’s a surprise. Don’t worry you will enjoy.” I said smiling as I drove her to our destination.
