I open my eyes and Sadie's brown eyes are staring at me. "What were you dreaming about?" She asks. "You."

Chapter 84

{Em's POV} I wake up early in the morning. Matt is in the middle of a dream. He is talking to himself and is kissing my hand. I lay there for a while, then I realized today is the banquet. We have to tell everyone. "Matt?" I wait. "Matt!" I say louder and shake his shoulder. "Wha?" He answers with his voice raspy and crackling. His eyelids look heavy of sleep and his hair askew. "I'm sorry to interrupt your make out session with my hand but, we have things to do for the banquet." He half smiles. "You enjoyed it don't deny it." I shake my head and roll my eyes. "Come on, get ready." I say as I roll out of bed. I grab a simple t-shirt, hoodie, and skinny jeans. I'm forced to wear boots, either that or heels. I run a brush through my hair, brush my teeth, and wash my face. Then, I sit waiting for Matt. He walks out wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans. "Really Matt? Blue on blue?" He looks down. "Oops." He takes off his shirt. "Um." He laughs at me and puts on a black t-shirt. "Better?" I smile. "Yes, now let's go see Lizzie." I say. "And eat something?" He asks. "You can, but I'm not hungry." He gives me a look. "You have to eat something, Em." I sigh. "Fine." I say irritated. We walk hand in hand all the way to Lizzie's office. "Hello." She says in greeting. "Oh, right I have your stuff." She rummages through some things in the closet. "Any morning sickness yet Em?" I jump. "Um, no." I say awkwardly. "That's good, with Matt I was sick just about everyday." I raise my eyebrows. "Really?" She nods. "Yup, here's everything you need for tonight. Let me know if you need anything." She hands Matt two hangers with covers over them and hands me a packet. "Thanks." I mumble. I turn around and outside is another couple. The girl has a scar across her face, from her forehead to her chin in a diagonal. She could be beautiful, if it wasn't for that scar. They glare at us. Matt squeezes my good shoulder and guides me away, while glaring back at them. "Weird." I say when we're far enough away. Matt shrugs. "Do you think your mom told Rachel and Blake?" Matt frowns. "Probably." I rub his back. "It's gonna be ok." I wish I believed myself. "Can we tell them the truth?" I ask. "As much as I want to, we can't they're too close to my mom." "Oh." We reach the cafeteria. He puts his arm around my shoulder, my bad one. "Owww." I cringe and he lets go. "I'm sorry, does it still hurt that bad." I nod. "I'm sorry." I take a deep breath in. "It's ok, it just hurts that's all." He opens the door for me. "Thanks." "Eat as much as you can." He whispers. "I want it to be believable tonight when it's announced." He says quietly I nod and pile my plate with food.

Chapter 85

{Andrew's POV} Sadie had the most bizarre reaction. I explained to her exactly what I dreamt about and she still had that strange look on her face. "What?" I ask after a while. "I started to like you that day like, more than a friend." She admits. I raise my eye brows. "But then you started living with us and I thought it'd be awkward...you know?" She says. "I was going to ask you out that day." I say sadly. "Why didn't you?" She asks in a gentle voice, like her mother's was that day and in general. She runs her fingers through my hair. "I wanted to tell you when we were alone, in the woods and my parents weren't there. They were gone and that's how this whole thing started I think....it's entirely my fault, I wasn't there." I stop because I feel a lump in my throat. "Was that the day we walked home together?" She asks. I nod as my tears begin to fall. "Andrew..." She wraps me into a hug, her arms around my neck. She strokes my hair. "You were gonna meet me back at my house to do homework and hang out. You were gonna tell me then?" Sadie asks. All I can do is nod. "Then, I found them gone and I felt kinda freindzoned. You called me your best friend, which I didn't mind. Then, you started dating Lucas. It hurt me so bad, Sadie." I cry out. "Shhh, it's ok we're together now right?" I nod. "Now, no more crying ok Andrew?" I wipe my faces with my hands. "I might start, if you keep this up." She says and I shake my head. "No, please." She laughs, making me smile. Someone knocks on the door. "I'll get it!" Sadie jumps up. I run up behind her. It turns out to be Blake with stuff for the banquet. "Running errands for your mom?" Sadie jokes. "Haha! Yeah...” He looks at me. "Sadie, what did you do to him?" He says jokingly. "But, seriously are you ok?" He asks concerned. Sadie smiles behind his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm ok." I half smile. "Let me know if you ever wanna talk." Blake says and touches my shoulder. "Or just hang out, you're pretty cool Andrew." He laughs. "Ok." I say. "Ok." He repeats before walking away. Sadie shoves my shoulder. "Look at you." I laugh. "Matt has a close relationship with his brother you know? Him and Blake basically made me feel like another brother of theirs." Sadie laughs and rolls her eyes. "You’re best friends with my cousin." I smile. "Yup." I take the hangers from Sadie. "What's this?" I ask. "Let's find out!" She says eagerly.
