{Sadie's POV} Nikki points towards Matt. A tall guy with feathery brown hair stands beside Matt. "YOU'RE DATING JARED?!?!?" She nods and blushes. "But-but Anita-" "What?" "Never mind, I'll tell you later." "They're best friends, Matt and him." I nod. "How many other people are here geez? People I know keep showing up here!" She laughs. "Wanna go do some sprints?" She nods. "You're gonna beat me." She says like always. "No!" We go back and forth like this for a while. We line up at the start. Nikki is a fierce competitor and has always been competitive, even if I beat her. "Runners take your mark, get set, go!"

Chapter 67

{Sadie's POV} I beat Nikki and look around. Did we really just gather a crowd? Nikki waves at people and I walk over to our friends huddled in a circle. "Hey Sadie!" Jared says and hugs me. "Hey." "Dang you girls are fast!" Exclaims Matt. I smile and giggle and Nikki walks up behind me. "I know." She says leaning on my shoulder. I roll my eyes and brush her off. "Oh really Nikki?" Says Andrew competitively. "I accept that challenge." "You're on, Gray!" "I'm not running!" Em blurts out. "Well let's go then!" Andrew says. {Andrew's POV} We line up at the start. I narrow my eyes at the finish line. "Runners take your marks, get set-" I draw in a quick breath. "GO!" I take long strides, my body cutting through the air. I tune everyone and everything out. I see the finish line, one more stride. I take the final stride and step off to the side breathing heavily. That felt like forever and I don't notice Nikki finishing. "Andrew Gray and Sadie Hayes please report to the starting line please." The loudspeaker booms. I have to face her. I'm facing her with that beautiful smile, those perfect lips, and her amazing, toned body. The one competitor I not only fear, but she also is my only distraction. "Are you coming?" Her voice snaps me out of my daze as she touches my shoulder gently. "Uh, yeah." I respond. I can't do this, I can't do this. "It'll be fun, come on Andrew!" She has no idea the effect she has on me. I scowl when I see who's waiting for us. "Lizzie." I growl under my breath. "Andrew it's ok." Sadie rubs her hand in circles on my back. "SHE KNOWS RIGHT WHERE TO HIT ME IN MY WEAK SPOTS!" I yell at Sadie. "Yeah, but you can't let her break you. If you break, then I crack." She looks into my eyes. "You have to do this for the ones who are gone." "And for each other." I finish. I lean in, but withdraw. "Not now, not here." She nods in agreement. "Ready?" "Ready." I answer. We walk hand in hand up to the start. Here goes nothing? Here goes everything.

Chapter 68

{Sadie's POV} Andrew and I walk up to Lizzie. "What do you want?" Andrew asks in a rude tone. "You guys aren't racing, don't worry." I notice she's holding a megaphone. This can not be good..... "Attention everyone!" Everyone gathers around us. "It is my pleasure to announce our team captains. In the past there has only been one but, these two are special." She pauses to wink. "This means that, together they will help everyone out. May I present to you, Andrew Gray and Sadie Hayes!" I smile brightly, knowing all eyes are on us. I hang on tightly to Andrew's hand. I hear Nikki cheering loudly above everyone else. "Alright, alright. Another thing we need to address is that today is your final day of individual training. Tomorrow evening we will have our banquet, where teams will be announced. If there are any questions see me in my office. Oh, I almost forgot! This is a formal event! That will be all." As soon as Lizzie stops talking the crowd is buzzing with conversations. Lizzie has a bright smile on her face. "Congratulations captains!" She says before rushing away. Nikki runs up to me and hugs me tightly. "Oh my god! Great job you guys!" Jared shakes Andrews hand and briefly hugs me. Em and the boys trail behind them. I receive a hug from everyone and then finally turn to Andrew. Neither one of us say a word. He bites his lip and I smile. I jump into his arms and kiss his lips. He staggers into the nearby wall and I gently slide down. "So.....is that a yes to dinner captain?" "Absolutely yes!" I respond and he plants a sweet kiss on my cheek. We return to the circle of friends. "Hey what happened to Olivia?" Andrew asks.
