Chapter 64
{Em's POV} I just stare wide-eyed at them for a while. I finally break the silence, "Please promise me that you guys won't fight anymore. Please?" I sound desperate, but that might help me out. "Anything for you my love." Brandon says and kisses my cheek. Matt gives him a dirty look. Matt then, pushes me against the wall and holds my arms above my head. He smiles before firmly pressing his lips to mine. When he stops kissing me, I'm out of breath. "I bet Brandon can't do that." He whispers and grins evilly. Sadie stares at us in awe. "What happened to 'getting a room'?" She makes quotation marks with her fingers. We all laugh except for Brandon, whose fists are clenched. Matt and I walk back over to him. Both guys put an arm around me as they glare at each other. "This is war..." I think to myself. "This means somebody will get hurt because of me." This can't happen, I won't allow it. I love both of them way too much. "Are you ok babe?" Brandon's voice snaps me out of my daze. "I'm just thinking that's all." Brandon strokes my cheek. "Don't worry about me dear." I frown. Matt squeezes my shoulder. "We all have to work together anyways." "You're right. Are we going to training now?" Matt nods and looks at me sympathetically. "I'm coming." "But your shoulder!" Brandon exclaims concerned. "No, I have to go." I say firmly.
Chapter 65
{Sadie's POV} "This whole thing is crazy." Andrew shakes his head. "Welcome to my life. I thought you wanted crazy." I laugh quoting my favorite song. "I don't want easy, I want crazy." Andrew sings. Bam! Em and Matt hit the wall. He kisses her passionately. I can't believe Em is allowing this. Andrew smiles and shakes his head and I stare at them in awe. "Matt really knows how to kiss a girl." I think to myself. "I bet Brandon can't do that." I overhear. "I can do that and more." Andrew whispers, I shiver feeling his breath on my neck. "What happened to getting a room?" Em smiles embarrassed and Matt smiles satisfied. We all laugh slightly, except Brandon. He looks ready to strangle somebody. I feel mercy for him. He was always really nice and treated Em right. I wish she would just remember that Matt treated her pretty badly.... Almost as bad as Lucas. What am I thinking?! He's my cousin! "I'm glad you're the only one for me." I say to Andrew. My eyes become watery, tears threatening to spill over. He touches my cheek. "Don't cry beautiful." I frown. "I can't believe anything like this would happen." Andrew smiles. "But, if nothing like this happened......I mean being here.... We would never have been together." My tears disappear and I put a smile on my face. "There we go!" Andrew smiles bigger. "May I escort you to training Miss. Hayes." Andrew says goofily and holds out his arm. "I'd be honored Mr. Gray." I take his arm and do an exaggerated bow. He laughs deeply. I smile which causes Andrew to smile bigger. "We have to show off today?" Andrew nods. I shrug my shoulders. "Show them everything I taught you, everything." He whispers in my ear as we walk down the hallway. I nod, like I would to a teacher. I glance sideways at Em an give her a sympathetic look. "We'll talk later." I mouth and she nods in response. The elevator ride passes by quickly and Andrew yanks the door open. I inhale deeply. "Focus, nothing else is happening, just training." I say in my mind. When I play sports or go hunting, I need to tune everything out to do my best. I've always been this and always will. Nothing will stop me.
Chapter 66
{Andrew's POV} I wait my turn at the archery station. I watch as Sadie quickly empties the quiver, hitting her target precisely every time. I admire her focus and perfect form. She shoots her last arrow. It hit the target with a thud. "Sadie!!!" An extremely loud voice exclaims. A girl runs up and hugs her tightly. Sadie's surprised expression is priceless. I laugh until I notice who it is. "Nikki!" Sadie calls back. I frown and look at the floor. She hates my guts but, she's one of Sadie's closest friends. Nikki walks over to me after they finish talking, probably about the fake engagement. "Hey Andrew." She gives me a hug. "I thought you hated me." I whispered. "I never liked you but, Sadie really loves you. I'll be nice but, if you hurt her-" She clenched her fist and glares at me evilly. Sadie walks up behind me and Nikki puts a sweet smile on her face. Sadie stands on her toes and wraps her arms around my shoulders. Her hands fall in the middle of my chest. I grab her hands and smile. I look over my shoulder at her. "You guys are so cute." Nikki says with a smile. "Who are you here with?" Sadie asks. "I'm gonna go take my turn." I slip away.
