Tris

I run.

My lungs burn for oxygen and I listen to the sound of my bare feet hit the ground. I have no idea where I'm going, but I know I need to get away from this jail cell I've been locked up in for who knows how long. I sprint through the alleyway, surprised I still remember the way out. I keep running until I end up reaching a tall fence covered with old vines and twigs. I look around, out of breath, to make sure nobody had followed me. After I made sure no one followed me, I quickly scrambled up the fence as fast as I could. When I reached the top of the fence I slipped and fell into an old pile of leaves. I got up, wincing, and walked to the bus hoping to be able to never see the people who did this to me.
