Chapter 3:

Maddys POV

About 15 minutes into the flight the pilot announced we could now go on our electronic devices. Thankfully these airlines had wifi so I could entertain myself and text.

I looked to my right and Abbey was still sound asleep next to me which I envied.

For about 1 hour I was switching through three apps. Instagram, Vine, and YouTube was my main entertainment for this whole flight. I was 12 minutes into a 15 minute YouTube video when Dani texted me.

Dani: Just to let you know, there will be a couple of visitors at my house

Me: great. Will Neymar happen to be one of them?

Dani: unfortunately, no. I doubt he'll come. I did invite him but Bruna is in town and I think he'll want to spend time with her (a/n pretend they're dating).

Ugh, Bruna.

Me: okay, see you when we land!!

Dani: Bye, Louise.

Once Dani stopped texting me I couldn't help but think about Neymar. What if he likes me. No, I told myself. He's dating Bruna. And besides, who would like you? Ian, Ian would like me.

My mind tried to wander away from the subject but it couldn't. Bruna is so beautiful, so perfect. I'm over here looking like I'm half potato or something. The only thing I'm good at is eating and sleeping. And I guess I'm pretty decent at soccer too.

"Maddy," Abbey disrupted me. I guess she finally woke up. "I gotta go pee, should I go?"

I laughed. "I told you to go before we got on the plane!"

Abbey glanced towards the bathroom. "I didn't have to go then," Abbey whined.

"Just go, Abbey." And she did. I couldn't help but laugh because k swear we're the most immature adults ever. We act like we're ten or something.

I pulled out my phone and decided to text Dani again.

Me: I already know this flight will be forever

I put my phone down and waited for Dani to text me. A few minutes later i felt my phone buzz.

Dani: How long have you been on?

Me: only an hour and a half :(

Dani: only 11 more hours :))

I sighed when Abbey at down next to me.

"What's wrong?" Abbey gave me a weird look.

"Nothing. It's just, this flight is so long. I get really bored easily."

Abbey rolled her eyes and chuckled. "I know, I live with you." Abbey shifted in her seat, closing her eyes. "Just try to sleep.

So I decided to follow her advice and just sleep. Should help the time go faster.

Dani's POV

"Aw c'mon Neymar! Everybody is going to be there! It's going to be so fun!" Leo, helping me out, tried to encourage Neymar to come to the party I'm throwing when Maddy lands.

We were all at Leo's house drinking a couple beers. It was 2:00 in the morning but nobody really cares since we didn't have training tomorrow.

Neymar shook his head. "But, Bruna was upset already for me just coming here for a couple hours. No way will k ditch her again tomorrow."

"Well what are you doing tomorrow?" Gerard piped in.

"Nothing as far as I know. All I know is that Bruna just wanted to chill."

"Chill," Luis questioned chuckling. "You mean have sex?" The expression on Luis's face changed. He looked mad. "We all know you guys- th-that's all you do! We all know it!" Luis stood up and Neymar did too.

"Why would you think that?" Neymar raised his voice.

Luis gave an unfortunate look, like he almost felt bad for Neymar. "Because we all know you too have no real emotion for each other! We can tell! We all know Bruna doesn't love you. All she wants is sex! Sex, sex, sex! That's all it is for her. And frankly, I think she's a waste of your time!" Luis finished. Neymar looked hurt, yet angry.

"Listen-" Neymar started.

Luis put a hand up. "I don't want to hear it." And then he turned and left.

Neymar threw his head back and sighed before sitting down.

I mean, obviously Luis was mad about something before because this honestly doesn't effect him. Or maybe he doesn't like Bruna because he knows she basically just plays Neymar. Either way, he was mad about something.

I glanced at Neymar to see if he was alright. "Listen Neymar, I'm sorry-" I started to say, but he cut me off.

"Do you agree with him? Abou-about Bruna?" His voice was shaky and it sounded like he was about to cry. His eyes glistened in the light of the room and i couldn't help but feel bad.

"Ney, that doesn't matter. Just go home," Leo told him and walked over to him. Ney nodded at Leo and wandered to the door. He didn't even bother saying bye, I wouldn't either.

As soon as Neymar left, I felt my phone in my pocket and remembered to tell Maddy about the party tomorrow.

Me: Just to let you know, there will be a couple of visitors at me house

Mad-Dog: great. Will Neymar happen to be one of them

At first when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket I smiled knowing she replied right away. Then I read the text and my smile quickly dissolved, instantly remembering the incident that JUST happened. 

Me: unfortunately, no. I don't think he'll come. I did invite him but Bruna is in town and I think he'll want to spend time with her.

Maddy took a little longer to reply but she eventually did.

Mad-dog: okay, see you when we land!!

Me: Bye, Louise.

I smiled at my own joke (lmao) and locked my phone. I looked at the remaining boys. They were all just sitting there awkwardly with a drink in their hands.

"Okay well," I said, breaking the awkward silence. "I think I'll get going."

I heard a low mumble of "alright"s and "okay"s and even a "be safe".

Once I was home I went strait to bed. I had just closed my eyes when I heard my phone buzz. It took me a while, but I finally was able to read it, God I was so tired.

Mad-Dog: I knew this flight would take forever

Me: how long have you been on?

Mad-Dog: only an hour and a half :(

Me: only 11 hours left :))

After that Maddy didn't reply and I closed my eyes, exhausted. It was about 3:15 in the morning and tomorrow- or, today- will be a long day.
