*Chapter Thirty*

Today was Wednesday the 9th of December. The day of our last formal as high school kids. Now, that's a scary thought, isn't it? I rung Hayden up on Monday and accepted his offer. As you've probably guessed, I haven't seen Luke around so I just disregarded the issue and decided to go with Hayden. Our school decided to be generous and give us the day off in preparation for the formal. I had arrived at the mall with Georgia as we decided to carpool.

I would've gone with Eleanor but she had to meet up with someone last minute or something. She claimed it was really important so I just let it be.

"All year, I've been looking forward to this formal." I said, "Now, I just can't wait for it to be over."

"Well, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, huh?" Georgia joked as we started making our way towards the spa place that Eleanor said just recently opened up.

"I wish that was the case." I sighed.

"Aw, cheer up. It'll be great." Georgia said optimistically, nudging my shoulder with hers.

I gave her a smile as we arrived at the place Eleanor has told us about. We walked through the entrance which was covered by indigo coloured curtains. The first thing that hit me was the strong scent of massage oil, nail polish and frangipanis. The second thing that hit me was Eleanor who had engulfed me in a hug.

"Oomf!"

"Oh my god, Tori! Today is the day! I'm so excited!" Eleanor squealed, earning an amused look from both Georgia and the lady behind the cash register.

"Yeah, I can tell." I said before we pulled away. "Where's Beth and Kasey?"

"They've already gone in for their massages but I was thinking we could get our nails done first?"

"Sure, I don't mind." I said, shrugging.

"Great! Let's go!"

"Okay, I'll admit, that was fun." Georgia admitted on our way back to my place. Eleanor, along with Beth and Kasey, would be over at mine soon to get ready. My nails were painted a matte black, which I admired greatly. I thought they were so pretty.

"I'm glad you came along." I replied, arriving back at my house.

"Oh and by the way, my dress is red." Georgia told me excitedly.

"That'll look nice on you." I said as we got out of the car and headed inside. I hung my keys on the hook and took my shoes off. "The other girls should be arriving soon. You can take a shower if you want."

"My nails'll be fine, right? I mean, we walked around for like three hours after."

"Yeah, they should be fine." I chuckled. We went upstairs where I grabbed her a towel and showed her to the bathroom.

After Georgia finished her shower, she came back into my room and got dressed. I headed to the bathroom for a shower and twenty minutes later, I was finished. After I had shimmied into my navy coloured dress, Eleanor arrived along with Beth and Kasey.

Eleanor had her lilac coloured dress on and Beth and Kasey had their dresses on. Kasey's dress had a white top while the skirt part of it was a peachy themed floral pattern. Beth's dress was all black. There were both floor length, like Eleanor's and I's.
