{Aria POV}
I pulled back from Jaden's grasp. He was getting really good at this. The whole pretending like he cared thing, when I knew it was just a front for the bet. He had a half smile on his face. "You done?" I asked. He looked confused. "What?" He asked. "Are you done? We kissed now, so are you happy? The bet's still on like promised." I said before leaving. I left him standing in the same spot shocked, He probably thought that this somehow was going to make it easier for him, but even if it was, I knew how to hide it. I couldn't let him see my real emotions. I couldn't let him know how that kiss really made me feel. At least not until the bet was over. "Aria?" He called before I could leave. "Yea?" I said turning around. "See you Tonight. At the arcade like promised." He said. I rolled my eyes playfully and left.
{Diggy POV}
I picked up my cellphone and contemplated dialing Aria's number. Should I? Should I not? Would she be mad at me? I mean, I couldn't have been that wrong...right? Ughh. So many emotions were going through my mind and my head. I finally dialed her number and waited until I heard her voice. "Hello?....Helloooo?" She asked again. "Hey, It's me. Daniel." I said after clearing my voice. "Oh, hey. Why didn't you say anything?" She asked. Because I was nervous. "The connection...was bad." I lied. "Oh, ok. So what's up? "We need to talk." I said. "Now? I'm kinda occupied." She replied. "Not now, but later on tonight." I said. "Look, I'm meeting up with Jaden and-" "Perfect." I interrupted. "We can meet together." I added. "What's this about? Why do you need all of us there?" She asked. "Where are you and Jaden meeting at?" I asked ignoring her question.
"The arcade...Daniel what's going on?" She asked slowly. "What time?" I asked ignoring her again. "Look, I'm not going to keep anwsering your questions when you won't anwser mine." She said firmly. "I'll anwser everything you need to know and want to know tonight. Now what time?" I asked. "8 'o clock." She said. "Good, see you then." I replied before hanging up.
Later That Night....
I was sitting down at an empty table inside the arcade waiting for everyone to arrive. The first one to arrive was Jaden. When he saw me he came over. "Hey, you meeting someone?" He asked. "Yea actually. Aria, and ...well you." I said "I just came here to meet Aria. She didn't tell me this was a ...social gathering." He replied. "Oh, well I'm sorry if we ruined your plans together as a couple." I said annoyed. "Why do you guys even need to talk?" He asked anxiously. "Why? I laughed. Trust me, you're gonna wanna be here for this one." I said. "What is it wth you?" Jaden asked rolling his eyes.
"What is it with you?" I ased defensively. Before any of us could respond Aria came up to us and our conversation ended quickly. "Guys, chill." She said rolling her eyes. "Now tell me again, Diggy why did you invite me-us here?" She asked. I took a deep breath. "Aria, I found out some things." I started. "What kind of things?" She asked. Before I could respond a unfamiliar voice interrupted me. "Glad you all could make it."
(Aria POV)
"Glad you all could make it." I heard a voice say. Instantly I realized who it was, but it couldn't be right. I turned to see Mateo. Shocked I just stood there "Mateo?" I said no louder than a whisper. "Aria, How have you been?" He asked with a smile. What nice timing. With everything finally going back to normal, why would he just show up? Why was he even back. I mean I get that it wasn't his fault for leaving, or probably even wanting to visit, but this would change alot of things.
"I'm fine. What brought you back here?" I asked. "Well I'm on spring break for school and I thought I'd come see a couple friends." He replied. I noticed Jaden had gotten quiet. Now wasn't this awkward? "So why are you guys here? Came for a little arcade fun?" He asked eyeing Jaden and Diggy. "Well Jaden and I did, and Diggy just had some things to talk to us about." He nodded his head and another moment of awkward silence passed.
Then I remembered why I originally came here. "So Diggy, why did you want to meet here again?" I asked. "Can we talk about in private?" He asked eyeing Mateo. "Sure...but I thought you wanted Jaden to be here -" I said confused. "Change of plans." "Jaden. I'll be back in a sec...." I said with a reassuring smile. I know being left alone with Mateo was the last thing he wanted at the moment, but I followed Diggy to a secluded part of the arcade where we were in private.
"So what's up? Why you bein all secretive?" I asked. "Look Aria. I know everything." He started. "What do you mean you know everything?" I asked nervously. "About you...Jaden, Mateo, and even Mona." He said softly. "What? You mean what happened in the past?" "Yea..." He said nervously. "If I didn't tell you..who did?" I asked slowly. "Moises."
(Jaden POV)
As Aria left to go talk with Diggy I was getting highly irritated by the second. Why was Mateo back? Didn't he do enough already? And things between Aria and I...were better. Now this was going to make things worse. At first we just stood there in silence until he started talking. "So...you and Aria back together?" He asked. He had his nerve. He's back less than 5 minutes and he's making drama already. "Nope." He nodded his head. "Things are better I assume?" He continued. "You know Mateo you've really got your nerve." I said not being able to hold it in any longer. "Excuse me?" He asked. "You come back here after messing up so much before and you wanna talk to me about Aria? Do you think I ever forgave you? You were supposed to be my friend, but instead you were tryna get my girl." I said anger filling my voice.
"Jaden, I was never trying to-" "Bro just save it." I interrupted. "I don't want your excuses and I certainly don't want your fake concern." I said firmly. I had never had a chance to fully get over what he had done. For me it was harder to forgive him then it ever was for Aria. He was supposed to be a bestfriend, a brother and he went and did some low crap like that.
He didn't reply that time. "I have just one question for you. Why are you even here?" I asked. "I came back to try and fix what's broken." He said. I let out a sarcastic laugh. This dude. "Who's that Diggy guy anyway?" He asked. "That Diggy guy is Aria's friend." I said irritated by the thought of him. " I take it yall ain't very friendly." He said with a hint of a smirk. "Not really." I said impatiently looking for Aria. What was taking so long?
"Must mean more competition." He said softly. "What? I asked. "I mean, obviously he likes Aria. Even I can tell from a distance the way he acts all protective." He rambled on. Before I could respond I saw Aria walking swiftly looking a little angry. "Jaden, I'm sorry but I'ma head home early. She smiled politely at Mateo and turned to leave. "Hey what's wrong?" I asked gently
grabbing her arm. That's when I saw Diggy walking after her. "Why don't you ask him?" She said motioning towards Diggy. " Aria, let me explain." Was all he said before Aria turned and left for good. "Trouble in paradise?"I heard Mateo mumble. What in the world was going on?
{Hey guys!!! So I'm having technical difficulties and I'll have to update from my phone for...idk how long. But I'm gonna try anyways because I know you guys are all waiting. Sorry in advance for any errors. }
