Chapter 5: I Need To Know

{Aria POV}

"What's going on between you guys?" Diggy finally spoke looking at the way I held Jaden's hand. "Nothing." I said letting go of him. "You know what, whatever. I'm out." He said. "Mona, you coming?" He asked her. She looked at me then at Jaden before anwsering. "Yea." She replied softly. "Wait guys!" I yelled catching up to them. "Yall don't want to hang out together?" I asked. "Look frankly, I don't even want to be around you until you stop lying." Diggy said. "Lying about what? Why can't you just accept that my past doesn't and never will concern you?!" I shouted. "Why won't you just let it go?" I added. "That's what I thought you were going to say." He replied. He started walking away and Mona followed. "Mona.." I called. She turned to look at me. "I'll text you." She said. Then she left with Diggy. Well wasn't this just great?

I realized I was still stuck in the park with Jaden. "Can you give me a ride home?" I asked him. "Sure, but we'll have to walk to my house to get my car." He replied. Once we arrived at his house he invited me in and I sat down on the couch to wait for him change clothes. After a minute he came down stairs and thinking he was ready I got up to go. As soon as I saw him though I shrieked out of shock. The boy was shirtless, and I know it isn't that big of a deal but I just wasn't expecting that. "Are you ok?" He asked laughing. "Yea fine fine..Umm quick question. Where's your shirt?" I asked biting my nails. "Shirt?" He asked looking down "surprised". "Oh I was just about to iron another one. I spilled something on it." He said. I couldn't focus straight. I wasn't thinking right. Remember the bet. Remember the bet. I repeatedly thought to myself.

He walked past me to iron his shirt and after a few minutes came back. "Hey Aria, I just don't know which shirt to wear." He said holding up two. "It doesn't matter." I said quickly turning away from him. I can't believe I forgot how good he looked shirtless. "What's wrong?" He asked grabbing my arm and turning me to face him. "Jaden, don't play." I said still avoiding to look at him. "What?" He asked smirking. "You're trying to get me to lose the bet, but I won't. I'm not that guillable." I said finally looking at him.  "Fine. You got me." He said laughing. "Good, now put your shirt back on and give me a ride home." I said pushing him gently. "Just one thing though." 

"What?" I asked. "You remember at the park. That favor you asked me to do and how you owe me now?" He asked. "Wait, wait ,wait. Owe you? They saw us anyway deal's off." I said. "Technically it's not. They don't know about the bet, all they know is we were hanging together and for some reason you don't want them to know." He replied. "What is it that you even want?" I asked. "An exception for the bet." He said. "What?" He inched closer to me. "A single kiss." He breathed. "A kiss?" I let out a sarcastic laugh. "Did you forget about the bet?" I asked. "This is that favor I need." He said. "You do realize if I do this favor the bet will be off? I will have won." I said smirking. "No, actually this kiss won't break the bet, since this is my favor I make the rules. The bet will still be on" He said smirking. 

 "What about Amaya?" I asked. "What about her?" He asked getting even more closer. By this point  we were face to face. He was making me nervous. Very nervous. "Won't this be considered cheating to your girlfriend?" I stuttered. "Don't worry about Amaya. It's just one kiss." He urged. "You know this is-is considered bl-blackmail." I said nervously trying to get a break in him. "No it isn't, wanna know why? I know you well enough to know when I kiss you, you're going to kiss back and you're going to act like nothing ever happened only because you enjoyed it, and the bet will continue beecause secretly, you enjoy having some kind of excuse to see me." He said. Before I could reply his lips came crashing onto mine.

{Diggy POV}

It was about 8 o' clock and after leaving the park Mona and I hung out a little longer but then she went home and so did I. I couldn't stop thinking about Aria and what had happened earlier so I decided to do something I should've did a long time ago. The time I had hung out at the mall with Aria, Jaden, Moises, Amaya and Mona I had made sure to get Moises's number in case of emergency. It seemed like he knew more than he was letting on. If he was a close friend of Aria and Jaden like he said said, he did know more then he was letting on.

I called the number and after a few seconds I heard the familiar voice of Moises. "Hello?" He anwsered. "Hey, this is Daniel. From the mall." I said hoping he'd remember. "Oh yea, hey what's up?" He asked. "Nothing much. So I have a question for you? I need some info."  "What kind of info?" He asked slowly. "What really went down  between Jaden and Aria?" I asked. "And why would  I tell you that. Why would I tell you all those things about my bestfriend?" He asked. "Look, I don't want to hurt Jaden, I just need to know these things for Aria's sake." I said. "Look, dude I don't know you and I don't trust you. What makes you think that I'm going to sell my boy out for you?" He repeated. 

"Look, I don't mean any harm." I said honestly. "There are just somethings that Aria isn't telling me. Look, we're cool. You're cool, I ain't tryna start no mess." I said. After a moment's pause he started. He told me a whole story about Aria and Jaden and how they use to date. He also told me about Jaden's bestfriend named Mateo had relations with Aria also, and how Mona was involved in this too. Every little detail from Aria's past was just told to me and now I knew why she wanted no one to know.

But now I knew everything, and I truly wondered how things would change.

{Moises POV}

"How much does he know?" He asked me. "Everything." I said. "Good, it's time then. It's time for a surprise visit." He said smirking."Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked him. "Definetely, I have to finish what I started." He replied. I nodded my head as I helped him pack his last bag into his car.  "Good luck, Mateo. I hope everything works out." I said waving as he drove toward the city that he'd once left behind. The city that no one ever thought he'd return back to.
