I can't be doing this.. I want to be here with Calum, I really do but I can't.
I'm dating Ryan for fuck's sake. Sky, what the hell are you doing?
I looked up at Cal as he was looking down at our connected hands, smiling. "Cal.." I whispered.
He rubbed his thumb across my knuckles, softly and hummed, waiting for me to respond.
"I-I can't do this.." and with that, his head snapped up, and he looked into my eyes with his worried ones.
"Wait, why? D-Did I do something wrong?" He quickly asked.
I quickly shook my head, "No, no you didn't do anything wrong. I just.. I'm still with Ryan.."
"Oh"
Oh?? Was that the response I was looking for? I don't even know. But I wasn't really expecting anything more.
"Yeah.. I'm so sorry, Cal.." It was silent for what seemed like forever until Calum finally spoke up.
"Do you love him?" He asked quietly.
I didn't know how to respond.
Should I lie and say yes because i'm in a relationship or should I tell him the truth and say no because i'm still deep in love with him?
So.. I decided to play it safe.
"No"
Calum's POV
Is it bad that I was waiting for her to continue?
Like I was waiting for her to add something else?
I just wanted her to love me again. I wanted to be with her again, just the two of us, together.
I can't believe I even asked her if she loved him.. If she would've said yes, I swear I would've gone insane.
Just the thought of her loving someone else fucking hurts so fucking much.
"So does that mean there's still hope for us?"
