Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude is a German word that can be defined as "pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune." Kelly McFinn has experienced this more than she would willingly admit.  Kelly lives a picture perfect life. She is a beautiful cheerleader, president of her class, dating the star athlete, while maintaining her status as the most liked girl in school. But like a reflection in the mirror, everything looks flawless until you examine the details. Her past is so dark it is almost invisible. Just when she has buried everything, time catches up to her and she gets to experience her life from a different perspective, while Kelly has to face the reality of a flawed life.
