Love is a very complex matter
That makes even the most intelligent person dumber
It can mend someone's soul
Or even crush something once whole
In a snap, it can come to you
In a flash, it would take a toll on you
Love is the only thing we hold onto
In times of need and in times we're blue
I wonder why everyone's talking about how love hurts
Some even say that you shouldn't bother
Could it be because it'll break the walls you worked so hard to build?
Or open the hearts that were once sealed?
No matter how hard times may be
You won't be able to lock it away in the gaping abyss
Because love is just around the corner
You don't need to look away any further
