Chapter 1

Lira's Pov

(Alarm Clock beeps)

It's 6:45 in Miami, Florida. In other words it's time for me to get up. As much as I hate Mondays, I've got to get up. I can't make my money sitting around in the bed all day. Well I probably could, but I need to get up. I don't like sitting in one place too long unless I'm falling asleep. I've gotten up and handled all of my hygiene business. Now let's see what am I gonna wear. Well let me see what I have to do before I pick that out.

I have to:

Pose for a magazine cover

Meet with Cherese for lunch

Go to some rapper's party

Maybe a dress will do for today. I went to my closet and my eyes fell immediately on this beige-ish white dress with matching heels. I sat that on my bed and went to the mirror and started on my make-up. I'll do a natural look today. It took me about 15 minutes to do that and then I got dressed walked out. 

When I pulled up to the building for my photo shoot, everything was going smoothly and then I bumped into someone. 

Guy: I'm sorry miss

I look up and its this fine ass dude. He looks hella familiar.

Me: It's my fault. I should be more careful

Guy: Don't blame yourself. It wasn't all your fault

Me: Alright

Guy: Well my name's August

Me: Lira

August: It's nice to meet you. I don't run into someone like you everyday

Me: is that good or bad

August: I don't know but we'll find out one way or another

He's got a sexy smile.

Me: Well if that involves me on my back, then I can tell you that you'll be waiting a while

August: You're a feisty one. We'll see each other again

Cherese: August stop being nasty and go on bout ya business

August: Cherese why you always doing this.......Cousins 

Cherese: What you say 

She hit him on the back of his head like they always do this. What did I miss?

Me: Cherese what are you doing here? Don't you have a video shoot for your song

Cherese:  Later on I do. This is my cousin August Alsina

August: Reese is this that Lira

Cherese: Yes

August: My bad ma. I ain't mean to disrespect you

Me: It's all good. I'm gonna get to this shoot. I'll see you later Cher

Cherese: Bye boo

Cherese's Pov

After I left with Aug, he decided we should go chill. Since we doing that, I'm about to ask some serious questions because I saw how he was looking at Lira. 

Me: August what you think of Lira and think before you try to lie

August: Your friend is fine asf. I like her little attitude

Me: All I can say is that you better not hurt her Aug. She's been hurt many times. You my cousin, but that's like my sister. I'll beat yo ass about her

August: Alright Reese

Me: You keep playing August. I'm gonna beat you 

He thinks I'm playing but that's my main. We look out for each other.
