Erica had a bag filled with her things with her and looked at the Zeus cabin one last time before leaving. It was empty and dusty, the only sign that it was supposed to be for the powerful king of gods was his statue, other than where Erica's things had sat a thick layer of dust was. 'Good riddance.' she thought as she slammed the door.
Blake was terrified, her words kept echoing in his head. He knew when he woke up he'd never want to get near a loom or at least avoid string for a few hours. He was little again, ten yeas old, he was cowering in a corner with his hand over his ears. The scary woman was standing in the opposite corner, blank, white, glowing eyes focussed in him. He knew his mother was next door, but the thought of seeing her curled up on her old mattress on the floor, crying, mumbling about how everyone had left her hurt him more than the woman scared him, and he knew it would hurt just as much if he came to his rescue. Suddenly the door to his room opened, that had never happened before. The woman wailed, flickered, than went poof, he looked with wide eyes at his savor. It was a girl, she had long dark brown hair braided til it reached her mid back, warm, tawny skin, and silver eyes that shown with determination and kindness, she radiated calmness and power. It was the girl from the misty, message, thingy, the one he had thought was one of the greek goddesses Chris had told him about. Victoria, after she'd said her name he'd been convinced she was the Roman goddess Victoria, goddess of victory, he still saw her as amazing, even after Chris had told him he couldn't have been wronger. He jolted up, awake from his nap, surprisingly he didn't regret this one like all the others. He felt, excitement perhaps, about meeting this girl.
Chris stood waiting by the camp entrance, staring at a large shadow, waiting for Victoria's nightmarish steed to emerge. How a horse of all things could shadow travel he had no clue, but it was cool, and kinda scary. Mike had implied that Victoria could control if she turned people to stone, which was awesome, but that also meant she could shadow travel into camp and turn them all to stone, if she felt like it, she probably wouldn't, but she could. As if on cue the horse emerged, with Victoria sitting regally on it's back. She glanced at him, an emotion in her eyes he couldn't put his finger on. Distain? Shame? Guilt? Was she thinking about the last time she'd been at this camp, when Storm and Mike had died? Her eyes scanned the campers walking around, "I assume thee and they'n friends will be coming with me." Victoria said while giving him a look a tired mother would give an energetic child mixed with 'why me?', he could tell she was so excited for this trip. "Well I might as well take thee now." She mumbled as she motioned for him to climb onto the shadowy horse.
He sat on the horse in the middle of Camp Tartarus, he wasn't afraid to admit he'd held onto Victoria for dear life, and still hadn't let go, much to her annoyance. She rolled her eyes, "Welcome back to Camp Tartarus. Now please get off so that I may retrieve thy'n friends, or at least let go." she said voice dripping with distain.
