"Don't you dare remove that beanie," Cassie said. "Trust me, we'll know."

"Why do I have to dress up like this?" I asked.

"Because we want you to give off a vibe that says 'I'm ready to have fun' and not 'Oh I have lots of work to do'," Therese said. "Do you see me always fussing over work a lot?"

"No, but that's because you've got Pierre to handle all the work for you," I said.

"Yes but still. You need to have some fun," she answered and pushed me out of my own room. "Bye!"

They waved goodbye at me and sickly sweet smiles were on their faces. After that, they just slammed the door on my face. I scoffed and started walking. Let's get this over with. Just as I was about to get out the front door, Natalia came running. I walked slower for her to be able to catch up.

"Miss, I just wanted to quickly tell you that I've already handled all your meetings for today. I've rescheduled them and distributed them throughout the week," she said. "Also, the Prime Minister called to tell that he won't be bothering you with meetings anymore this month. He said that you should have some rest."

"That's very nice of him," I said as we were close to Nate's car. He was leaning against it, looking hot. Wait, what?

"I'll be sure to tell him that," she said with a smile. "Have fun on your date, Miss."

I blushed and smiled at her. I continued walking towards Nate and all the while, I was coming up with excuses to bail. I was so lost in thought that I bumped into him.

"Woah!" Nate said with a chuckle.

My eyes were wide in shock as he held my arms, waiting for me to speak.

"Sorry," I said.

"It's fine, munchkin," he said with a smile. Oh god. I'm all tingly inside. "Anyway, I got you these."

He handed a bouquet of pale blue roses.

"Just like the color of your hair 5 years ago," he said with a smile. I hesitantly took it from his hand and stared at the lovely flowers.

"Thank you. You didn't have to," I said.

"I did tell you that I was going to impress you," he joked. "Anyway, best be off. We still have to drive more than an hour."

"Where are we going?" I asked curiously.

"We're going to Brighton," he said with a smile as he opened the door for me.

"Brighton?" I asked.

"Yup," he said, not giving anything away.

As we started moving, I couldn't help but think that this would be a really long ride.

We stopped for petrol at a gas station and Nate convinced me to go with him into the food mart to get some snacks.

"What would you like, Your Highness?" he joked as he opened the door for me.

"Some caviar, please," I joked back.

As we were driving here, I've gotten a bit more comfortable with him since he was talking all the way here. He was telling me about how Australia has been and I was, surprisingly, fascinated by his stories. He told me about some of the annoying professors he had and how him, Matthew, Charles and Alec landed themselves a night in prison once. It was all so funny that I couldn't help but be happy that he actually enjoyed his stay there. But of course, still hanging in the back of my mind was that day that he left me to go there but I didn't let it affect me since we were actually having a great time.
