chapter two

Its been three days since I saw the boy at the pizzeria, Laney and I come here almost everyday due to our pizza addiction.

Today we walked in and saw someone sitting at our table with a hood on.

Of course Laney starts to throw a fit because that's 'our table'. So we approach the person and I see a familiar smile.

"Oh, Luke. Right?" I say a little surprised to see him.

"Yeah, I was wondering when you'd come back. You never texted me." he says in a soft tone.

"Well, i've been dealing with exams in school..so that's why."

"Mm, so you're a smart girl?"

"I guess."

"You kind of look like a nerd anyways, so ill go with yes."

"Rude."

"A cute nerd."

"Still. Rude."

"Ill catch you later, I have to get going anyways." He says as he gets up allowing me to have his chair.

"Oh okay, see you around."

"Text me." He winks as he turns on his heels and walks towards the door.

"Uh oh." Laney giggles.

"Shut up, its not even like that." I roll my eyes at her just making her pick on me even more.

"Just admit he's hot and ill leave you alone."

"Fine he's hot."

"Mhm." I hear a deep hum from behind me.

A lump forms in my throat from anxiety as laney turns red.

I turn around to see luke standing behind me.

"I forgot my drink and come back in to hear that? Must be my lucky day."

"I hate you." I growl at Laney, knowing she knew he was behind me as I said that.

The two grinned at me as Luke left and Laney kept quiet.

"Can't believe you set me up."

"I didn't, he just walked up right as you said it." she confessed.

Leaving me embarrassed.
