During the Games

Day one in the arena

My mother and I are so nervous as we walk to town square. We get there and make our way to the front as we get ready to watch our family member suffer. How evil can the Capitol be? I have to remember that my sister is strong. She will be a victor!

I sit with my mother in the front row. Next to my mother is Peeta's mother. The screen turns on. We see Katniss ready to run, she looks nervous I can't blame her. I can't watch this. I sand up. My mother grabs me but I keep walking. Then a Peacekeeper stops me, he throws me back into the crowd. Why should I be forced to watch this.

Later that day...

The Peacekeepers, let us go home after it gets dark. If we want to, we can stay up all night and watch the games, but I have school tomorrow and my mother is still in shock. We go to bed without dinner.

The night is restless. I wake up a lot grabbing for Katniss and realizing she is not with me. I start to cry, but hold back my tears. I must stay strong for my mother. I quietly get out of bed and tip toe to her. I climb into her bed and snuggle next to her. Then I fall asleep.
