The uniforms of Arakawa professors weren't really required to be worn, and were always sort of optional. The men uniforms varied from trench coats with ascots to shoulder gowns with thick black ties on their necks, while women had modest conservative dresses with varying designs, such as frills and embroidery. Most of them felt like the uniform was too much (although it wasn't necessarily farfetched either. It's quite hard to get inside Arakawa as a student, and it wouldn't be much lesser for a professor, if not even more difficult). They could still walk in and out of school premises even when they're not wearing their uniforms, just as long as they have their Dpads, where their identification is engraved.

While this was usually the habit of the human staff, the android staff leaned towards strictly abiding by loose rules, so they're often regarded to as "uniforminorities" since the android professors always wore uniforms.

That day was a very important milestone in the history of Arakawa's Math club.

"Oh, good afternoon, sir." Joshua greeted. Professor Yasuda's DynaFabric projected white sleeves hanging freely with a loose black neck tie. His black pants blended with his black shoes.

All he needed to wear was a black vest along with the school emblem, and he'd really be mistaken for a student. The only difference would be the fact that most students tuck their holographical undershirt inside their pants, and the neck tie isn't worn loose.

"What brings you here, professor?" Ardee asked.

The professor scratched his nape as he cracked a little smile before answering.

"I'm here for a little proposal." He started speaking.

"The CCO president had convinced me to turn the Math club into some sort of a helper club, because of all the news of you guys helping out students."

Ah yes, the fabled 'small but terrifying' president. The «CCO» or the Campus Club Organization is the "leading" organization of Arakawa school clubs, directing club activities, supervising clubs, and promoting the clubs of the school to its students. The organization's president was none other than the infamously terrifying miss Cathy Myers, and by 'convinced', prof Yasuda was probably coerced into talking us into her business. They've never actually met the CCO president yet (she seemed absent during the orientation), but rumors are like forest fire. Even as a professor, mister Yasuda didn't seem to be quite able to go against her suggestions.

"Well in essence, aren't we already a helper club?" L asked.

As mentioned, rumors in Arakawa spread like forest fires. Their helping of students did not take long before the whole school had heard of such club, though unfortunately for other students, their club only accepted math-related inquiries.

"Well, limited to math-related inquiries, yeah. What the Campus Clubs Organization president was hoping for is the broadening of the club's scope. A lot of students are dealing with different kinds of pressure in this school, and it would be great if there was a club where they could share their struggles with."

"I'm not against all that or anything, but there's only the three of us. We don't have much resources. While I could handle math problems and sure Joshua could handle computer problems while Ardee takes care of the rest, wouldn't that just be a burden on her part?"

"Now, now, it's not that I disagree with you, L, but it's not like I can just handle everything you guys can't." Ardee protested.

L knew that, though it would be disrespectful for a freshman to state that out loud to a sophomore, even if they were of the same age.

He was right though, they didn't have much resources to cater to the different needs of the students. All they had was a programmer, a mathematician, and a seasoned Arakawa University student. What could they do?
