I looked at Ryan before we left the beach. Ryan had posted a bunch of Instagram photos so Kirsten & Brandon could see.
Kirsten "Aw she looks so cute. I'm glad she's having fun."
Brandon "I hope she's being good for you guys."
Ryan "Yeah she is. She misses you though."
After leaving the beach we went home and we all rinsed off the ocean water.
The next morning Ryan was awake before I was and got Harper ready to go home. As soon as I woke up Ryan gave me a kiss after I went into the kitchen.
Harper "Mommy."
Ryan "You'll see mommy soon. Just a little more time today."
Harper "Mommy."
Ryan "Just a little longer."
Harper "Dada."
I said "Daddy will be here soon."
This time regardless of what we did Harper wouldn't calm down until the doorbell rang.
I answered it and Kirsten said "How is she?"
Ryan "She's freaking out this morning."
Kirsten reached out for Harper "Did you miss mommy?"
Harper (excited) "Mommy."
Then she saw Brandon "Dada."
Brandon "We missed you little bug. Were you good for Uncle Ryan?"
Harper "Ya."
Kirsten "Except for this morning. I heard you were really sad."
Harper "Ya mommy bye bye."
Kirsten "Now I'm back. So is daddy."
They left our house and Ryan asked what I wanted to do.
I said "I don't know. Nothing too strenuous."
Ryan (half joking) "Darn I was going to suggest cave diving."
I said "Haha very funny. I'm pregnant."
Ryan "I know. I was kidding."
I said "I'd like a real suggestion."
Ryan "How about a walk through Rio De Los Angeles?"
I said "Sure. Sounds good to me."
Ryan "Then after you have the baby we can do a more adventurous park trail."
I said "After we have the baby we can also go to like Disney World or something."
Ryan "We can do that too."
After taking a thirty five minute walk, I had to stop on a bench. I drank some Gatorade and then we got back up. We continued this process until it was nine pm. We left the park and headed home.
He took dozens of photos of the trees the animals and the sky.
The next day we were both busy. I was at various appointments and Ryan was working.
When he got home from the studio I said "Baby, I have news."
Ryan "What is it? Is the baby okay?"
I said "Yes the baby is fine. So is the other one."
Ryan "What do you mean the other one?"
I said "We're having twins."
Ryan "Wow! I said I wanted lots of babies but I wasn't expecting twins."
I said "I wasn't either."
