"Zhe Axis powers are moving east as zhe Allied forces enter Germany."

"I'm scared, Gilbert," I whisper as I listen to the radio. "Zhey're fighting for zheir lives, und all I can do is sit back und vatch."

"Ludvig und Kiku are strong, don't vorry."

"Vhat about Feliciano?" I ask teary eyed.

"Believe it or not, but Feliciano can run faster zhan any Axis power!" He smiles. "Except zhe awesome me of course."

"Zhank you for zhe reassurance," I laugh.

Germany's POV

"Und ve vill attack zhis fort, sir?" One of the lieutenants asked as he pointed at the map.

"Ja, zhen ve vill march along zhis road; it vill lead us straight into Poland."

"Like, why are you talking about my country?" The blonde man asked worriedly. "Don't invade my people anymore, please!"

"Shut it, Feliks. I have vork to do." I glare at the sky as I turn away from him.

"Ludwig," His voice was serious, and I slightly turn my head. "We both know this isn't what you wanted."

I freeze. This is why I hated Poland; he could read me like an open book. Am I that weak?

I stalk out of the giant tent and walk to one of the guards. "I vant you to untie Poland, but keep a very close eye on him, understand?"

"Ja, Sir!" He salutes me as I walk past him. I go to the army camp that's close by, rounding up my men and grabbing a gun.

"Today, men, ve fight!" I raise my arm in the air, and my soldiers cheer, raising the German flag.

Your POV

Gilbert and I both fell asleep on the couch; me resting my head on his shoulder, and his head on mine.

It has only been two days; no bad news has come in, and Gilbert has protected me.

Just as I opened my eyes to look at the time, a screech filled the air. "Zhe sirens!" I quickly shake Gilbert and he shoots up from the couch.

"Follow me!" He grabs my hand and we run from the house. As we rush down the street, I see all of the German people running desperately for their lives. Mothers holding their babies, as many children hung onto their dresses as to not get separated. Tears stung their eyes as the ran for the shelters.

"Mama!" A little boy's voice rang clear through the panic.

"Arik! Vhere are you?!" The mother looked around frantically for her son.

Oh no...

I caught sight of the young child who was crying for his mother. "Gilbert! I have to get him!"

"Zhere's no time!" He insists, pulling me along.

"Bitte!" I look him straight in the eyes, desperate to save the young child.

"Fine," he sighs. "Hurry, come on!"

We run to the crying boy and I grasp him in my arms. "You're going to be ok, don't vorry."

"B-But my mama!" Tears flood his eyes and he hides his face in the crook of my neck.

"You're all shaken up, hm?" Gilbert bends down to be eye to eye with the boy. "It's ok, ve'll get you safely to your mutti."

The boy smiles as Gilbert pats his head. The albino assists me as I hold the boy and run back down the street.

*FWOOOSH*

"It's the British!" Gilbert yells. "Run faster, mein liebe!"

"I-I can't!" The boy grasps my shirt and I hold him tighter.

"In here!" The boy's mother motions to the shelter and I dash towards the entrance, Gilbert following close behind.

"Gah!" As I look back, Gilbert's laying on the cold street, a painful expression on his face.

"Gilbert!" I look to the shelter and return the boy to his mother. As she says thank you, I cut her off by running back for Gilbert. "Vhat happened?!"

"I-I zhink I broke mein ankle," he replies. "It's ok, go to zhe shelter!"

"Nein! I vill not leave you!" I pull on his arm and try to pick him up.

"(Name)! Zhe planes are almost here!" Gilbert screams as the engines of the planes get louder and louder. "Get out of here!"

"No!" I get him in his feet and rest his arm around my shoulder. "I vill not let zhem hurt you."

He stares at me in surprise as we make our way to the shelter where people are waiting to help Gilbert in. "Zhere. You're alive, I'm alive, ve all made it."

"Danke, (Name)," his eyes fill with tears as he rests his forehead against mine.

Just as we started relaxing on the thought if safety, the bombs were dropped. Everyone in the shelter shuffled to the back, but Gilbert and I stayed closer to the entrance so we could survey the damage as it was being done. After five minutes of constant bomb explosions, a faint voice was heard.

"Oi! Have you found her yet?"

"Nah, still looking through all this rubble!"

"Well search faster, you twit!"

"Mein gott," Gilbert whispered. "Zhey shouldn't be here."

"Who?" As I look to him for answers, the door to the shelter was pried open.

A man with blonde hair, blue eyes, and glasses peaked in and smirked darkly. "Looks like we found what we came here for."
