Sorry the last chapter was so cheesy guys! I'm out of school now so hopefully I'll be able to update a bit more frequently. This chapter is really short because I didn't have much time to write, but I promise that the next one will be longer. That you so much for the 14 votes and 10 comments on the last chapter. Your support means the world to me. Keep spreading the word! I love you all.

Chapter 7

"Welcome home....sorta!" Niall said as Josh and I walked through the door of the hotel room. I sat Josh down on the bed and propped up his head and arm like the doctor had said and gave him his medicine.

Luckily, he hadn't done any serious damage to his spinal cord, he just screwed up his back a bit. It made it hard for him to sit up straight because the muscles were too weak to hold up his body wieght. He had broken his arm and dislocated his shoulder and had a minor concussion, but the alcohol in his system made his whole body looser, which had lessened the damage.

Management had called my parents and told them what had happened. They were able to fly out and come see him because there weren't many flights available and we didn't have the money, but we skyped them as soon as we were able to.

There was a knock at the door and Liam went to get it. A big man in a suit came in and began to speak. "Hello, I'm Tony from Modest! Management and I've been sent to talk to you guys about what we're going to do now that Josh can't play the drums." We all looked around. We hadn't thought about that. Josh couldn't sit on a chair without a back and his arm was broken. "We have a few options," he continued. "We can have a replacement come in and learn all of the music or we can postpone the tour for a few months until he can play."

"We can't postpone the tour," Josh said.

"He's right," Liam added.

"So who's gonna play?" Harry chimed in.

"No one can play like Josh," Niall said.

"Actually," Zayn said. "Someone can."

They all turned to look at me.

"What?" I said.

"You can do it, Lauren!" Niall said. He turned to Tony, "Lauren is Josh's little sister and he's taught her everything. All of the songs and his solos. Everything. She could do it."

"Really?" Tony said, genuinely surprised. I nodded shyly. "Well that was easier than I thought. Lauren, come with the boys to rehearsal tomorrow and we'll see if you really can. Then we'll start the tour just like we were planning."

"Okay. Thank you! I won't let you down."

Tony left the room and the boys looked at me. "What?" I asked again.

"You are amazing," Niall said, wrapping me in a big hug.

"You're my SAVIOR," Louis said dramaically, making everyone laugh.

"I knew teaching you how to drum would come in handy. I just never thought I would need it for this." Josh said as he looked around. "I know you can do it. Do you remember everything?"

"I think so. Let's see though. It wouldn't hurt to brush up on everything a bit."

"Okay. Boys, let's start with Up All Night and just go down the set, yeah?" Niall said, grabbing his guitar. They all nodded and I grabbed Josh's sticks off of the bedside table and set the pillows up as the drums on the floor in front of me.

We spent the rest of the night laughing, ordering cookies, tweeting, and learning the rest of the songs. We all fell asleep around three in the same hotel room and on the same bed, which made for a bit of a problem in the morning.
