This one is straight out of science fiction. Supposedly, blood-drinking, flesh-eating, shape-shifting extraterrestrial reptilian humanoids are trying to enslave the human race. They are our leaders, corporate executives, Oscar winning actors and Grammy-winning singers. These aliens are responsible for the 9/11 attacks, Oklahoma bombings, the Holocaust, and whatever.

David Icke, a former BBC sports reporter is the origin of this when he published a book, 'The Biggest Secret', in 1998. In it he related interviews with two Brits who claimed that the Royal family were reptilians.

Supposedly, the Anunnaki (good name) have controlled mankind from ancient times and among their apostles are Queen Elizabeth, Gorge W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Bill and Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Bob Hope. Also, these aliens are behind the freemasons and the Illuminati. That seems to be a universal theme in all of these crazy conspiracy theories. Just to let you know: the Anunnaki is a group of Mesopotamian deities.

Another proponent of this idea is Jesse Ventura, (professional wrestler, actor, Governor of Minnesota) who claims that our leaders are actually these reptilians in disguise using shape-shifting methods to look like humans. They organized religions, monarchies, school systems, science and all media. And, they normally hide underground. I think Jesse would have made a good president. That's a current joke!

How did these aliens get here? Supposedly, they came in ancient times from other dimensions and mated with humans so that they could fit in and take over mankind. The proof for this is based on spectral scans. No one seems to describe what this means. They drink menstrual blood (this makes no sense to me); they are non-physical beings from the lower 4th dimension; their leaders are the Draconis from Draco in the Orion constellation; they originally settled on Mars; and they lived as reptilians but eventually went undercover.

These conspiracy theories were responsible for the TV show 'V', and the movie 'They Live'. They both were science fiction stories based on carnivorous reptile aliens coming to Earth and causing trouble. The movie 'They Live' directly used the idea of the ruling class being aliens in disguise. It combines many conspiracy theories about how aliens could take over mankind by subliminal messages.
All of these ideas would make great campy science fiction, but as a true concept they suffer from illusionary thinking. These ideas are insane. They have no scientific or logical validity. But, they sure are a lot fun to discuss. What surprised me about this conspiracy theory is the fact that people are promoting it. I would think that anyone would be reluctant to be associated with a crackpot theory like this. I would be afraid of being labeled a nut case. The other thing that troubles me is the fact that these crazy ideas detract from legitimate research into understanding alien life and how early humans could have been influenced by aliens. As much as I like to watch the 'Ancient Alien' series on The History channel, I am skeptical of the methods and logic they use to try and prove that ancient aliens interacted with early humans. Much of it is based on titillating assumptions designed to attract viewers. I want to believe, but I need better evidence.
