Chapter 43

We get to the hotel an immediately fall asleep

It was a busy day today.

I wake up in the middle of the night from a call from Alex.

🐙- Mara

🐙 hello?
🐧please come pick me up.

She's crying.

🐙Alexis what's going on.

(That's her real name she likes to be called Alex though)

🐧it's Mitch, please help me.
🐙 okay, calm down it's going to be okay where are you?
🐧Mitch's house. Please hurry. NO MITCH. GO AWAY.

"ALEX, WHAT ARE YOU FUCKING DOING" I hear Mitch yell.

🐙I'll be there in a few minutes.

An the line goes dead.

I wake up Preston.

"Preston we have to go to Mitch's house. Alex is in danger." I sob.

"What?" He groggily says still confused.

"No time to explain we have to get going."

"Hun I don't think you can walk." He jokes.

"ILL MAKE IT WE HAVE TO GO!"

We get dressed and jump into the car. Well I hobble.

We arrive to Mitch's house and Preston knocks on the door.

"What are you doing?! We have no time for this!" I yell.

I take my foot and I break down the door.

We enter and the house is a mess.

"ALEX?!" I yell throughout the house.

"PLEASE HEl-AHHHH" I hear Alex scream from downstairs.

"How do we get downstairs?" I ask Preston.

"Follow me." He says grabbing my hand.

I grab a phone just in case.

I run down the stairs to see Alex chained up to a wall and covered in dried blood an bruises.

"Mitch?" Preston asks. "What have you done?"

"Don't worry about it. Get out of my house." He snaps.

"Mara. Call 911."

I dial 911 and Mitch comes after me. Preston knocks him out before he could get me.

I tell the lady where we are and to hurry.

I quickly run over to Alex and unchain her. She hugs me and cries into my shoulder.

"Why me?" She sobs.

"I don't know, but it's all over now. Nobody is going to hurt you anymore."I say to her.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

She hugs me again and the cops and ambulances arrive.

The cops start to question Preston and I. Lexi got taken to the hospital along with Mitch.

"This is unbeliveable." I say.

"I know babe." Preston says hugging me.

"He was my idol for so long I don't get it"

"Me either"

The cops let us go and we go to to the hospital where Alex is.

"Hey, how're you feeling" Preston asks.

"Better than if I was still in there" Alex gives us a sly smile. "Where is he?"

"He's gone" I say calming her down. "I promise you'll never have have to worry about him"

"Okay, I think I'm going to go to sleep now, it's been a long day."

"Okay hun. Call me tomorrow and I'll come of you want me to." I say

She nods and puts her head down to rest.

Preston and I leave and we go get our stuff from the hotel and go to him condo.

"So Mrs. Arsement, what's on the agenda for today?" Preston says wrapping his arms around me.

"Can we just lay in bed and xbox it up?"

"Sure babe"

We go into our room and he turns on the xbox.

"Bo3 or cs:go?" He asks.

"Bo3"

He gives me a remote and headset and crawls into bed with me. I crawl over on his lap.

I totally rekt him.

Like this isn't me, or it isn't him.

"Yeah I let you win" he laughs.

"Wow rude"

After about an hour of playing I decide to stop playing and go to sleep. It was a long night.
