Dani's P.O.V.

The drive back to the diner was quiet. When we got there we ran inside. "I'm going to go to the restroom." I say. I walk to the opposite side of the diner and into the restroom.

I close the door behind me and lock it. I stand in the mirror and look at myself. My clothes were soaked and my hair was tangled in a wet mess.

Crowley appears behind me. I jump when I see his reflection in the mirror. "Oh my gosh!" I say frightened. "You scared me." I shout. "Darling, when I saw you you scared me." He said with a grin. "Oh, shut up." I say laughing.

I silently fight with myself about telling him about what Castiel said.

"So, I've been talking to this angel." I quietly say. "Let me guess. Black hair, big pouty blue eyes, trench coat and yay high?" He said while holding his hand up. "Yeah, he said tha-" I was cut off by Crowley. "That you are an angel. I can't believe he bought that!" He said laughing. "So I'm not? An angel?" I ask. "No." "What about my mother?" I question him again. "She was doesn't mean you are."

"Wait did you tell him that I was an angel?" I sternly ask. "Wow, you have so many questions. It's a little annoying."

His rude words don't have any effect on me. I don't say anything else though. We stand in silence for a moment. "Sorry, Dani." He quietly says. I stay silent, not saying a word. "So you're just going to give me the silent treatment, is that it?" I look at him and cross my arms. "Fine. I'll go then. Goodbye Dani, happy birthday sweetheart." He disappears.

I roll my eyes looking back in the mirror then realized what he called me. He called me 'sweetheart'. He has never called me that before. He calls me things like 'child' or 'little rodent' but never sweetheart.

I pull Gabe's jacket off and walk to the hand dryer. I put the jacket under the dryer until it is mostly dry. I then begin to dry myself. When I am finished I go and find Sarah and Gabe.
I find them sitting in a booth next to the window. Gabe stands up letting me in so I could sit next to the window and watch the rain. He knows me so well.

"I ordered you a bacon cheese burger and a smoothie." He says. "Thank you." I mumble while handing him the jacket.

"Look in the pocket." He simply says. I reach in each pocket but nothing is in them. "Oh, the inside pocket sorry." He says with a little chuckle. I unzip the small inside pocket and put my hand in. I pull out a small box. I can't believe I didn't find this before. I examine the small box that is poorly wrapped. "I wrapped it myself." He proudly says. "I can tell." I laugh. I unwrap it and open the box.

I find a golden heart shaped locket. I open it to find a picture of Sarah and Gabe on one side, the other side empty. I smile and give Gabe a hug. "I know it's not much. The other side is for whatever you like." He shyly says. "I love it, thank you." I say hugging him again.

"Now, my turn." Sarah says excitedly. I giggle at her. She pulls out a neatly wrapped box with a bow on top. "This is how you wrap something." I say jokingly to Gabe. "Ha-ha, very funny." He says. I carefully pull the ends of the bow to untie it. I peel the wrapping paper back to reveal a phone.

I immediately jumped in my seat. I crawled over Gabe and ran to Sarah. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I screeched. "You are very welcome." She says.

Our food comes and we eat. When we are getting ready to leave Ashleigh walks in with her friends. "I have to use the restroom. I'll be right back." Sarah says. Ashleigh sees me looking at her and she walks in our direction. She stops at our table not breaking eye contact with me.

"Dani, you weren't at school today what happened? Did you catch a bad case of ugly? Because that's what it looks like." She says. Her friends begin giggling.

"No, today is Dani's birthday so I spent the day with her." Gabe says loudly. "I still don't know why you hang out with orphan Annie." She rudely says. "Stop it! Just leave her alone!" Gabe shouts. She is taken by surprise so she takes a step back and walks away.
