"It's almost eight." I said standing up

Will held Iris, who was still awake. As soon as he got up Iris began to cry.

"Shh." cooed Will "Shh. It's ok."

I smiled and held my hands out to him. Will place in in my arms and I rocked back and forth. He wouldn't stop. Then I thought of the song that my mom used to song to me.

(Note: the mom heard a human singing this song.)

I looked at his big green eyes and sang.

"Come stop your crying

It will be all right

He grasped my finger and stopped crying.

His eyelids dropped.

"Why can't they understand

I started humming as I watched him sleep. I kissed his forehead.

"I love you so much. Don't forget were you came from."

I gently slid Iris into Will's arms.

"Please be carful you two. I live you."

I kissed Will and he kissed back "I love you too."

I sighed and watched Will walk out of the cave with Iris still sleeping in his arms.

I love you so much. I wish I could keep you, but I can't. Someday tho we will live together. I promise you that. Someday I will make it right, so I can see you. Someday you will meet your twin sister. Someday I'll change everything, everything about this world so that we can all be together, as a family.

I promise Iris. I promise that you'll be in my heart.

Maureen appeared in the pond holding Emily. I smiled at my other baby.

I got in and held Emily. I looked at Maureen.

"At least I have Emily. If I had to give them both up I....I don't know how I would make it."

Maureen nodded "I examined Iris, he is part mermaid-well I guess merman, but he will change when he's old enoff."

I sighed "Ok. Do you know when that would be?"

"When he turns 18. Probably but he does have to be careful about the magic tho he has very strong magic."

I nodded "Ok I'll tell Will."

'Will?'

'Yea?'

His deep voice rang in my head.

'You need to make sure about Iris's magic. Maureen says he has very strong magic.'

Pause. Then Will's voice came back.

'Ok. I'll make sure to help him. I love you.'

I smiled as tears welded in my eyes 'I love you too.'

I dove under still holding Emily and Maureen followed me.

Now it's just me and my little girl. I will see my little boy soon, but right now Emily needs me. I will count the days till I get my little boy back.

I smiled down at Emily and realized everything will be ok.
