"C'mon Layla Bean! We need to go inside. Daddy will be home soon." I sighed, walking slowly across the yard. I don't want daddy to come home. He's always so mean.

"Layla Bean! Don't make me tell you again!" I rolled my eyes, looking out at the road, seeing a blonde headed boy running down the sidewalk. And beating on a marching drum. My eyes widened, giggling. He's screaming. So loud!

I walked out the gate, watching him as he walked down the sidewalk. A lady came running after him, the boy just smiled, walking faster. I laughed. Mom came walking up behind me, grabbing my arm.

"C'mon Layla. You need to listen."At the same time, the boys mom grabbed his arm, pulling him down the sidewalk towards the house right across from us. But before they entered the yard, the boy looked over, looking at me. He grinned a little. I waved, a small wave, giggling. Mom looked over at them, grinning a little.

"He certainly knows how to put on a show."I looked at him once more, before going inside, sighing.

"Layla Bean! Come up here for a second please." I jumped up upon hearing daddy's voice. I didn't do anything. So I wonder what's wrong? I walked out of my room and into the living room, stopping in my tracks, grinning. The boy from earlier was here, with the lady. Mom noticed me standing there, reaching her hand towards me.

"Layla Bean, this is Wendy Cobain." I waved, smiling a little. Then I looked at the boy again, grinning, seeing him smiling at me as well. Mom and Wendy shared a look, smiling.

"And this, is Kurt. They live across the street from us." I smiled at Kurt, giggling a little. He has eyes as blue as the ocean. The most beautiful blue I've ever seen. Kurt waved at me, smiling a little.

"Your names Bean?" Daddy laughed, grinning at Kurt.

"Her names Layla. But we always call her Layla Bean. It's stuck." Kurt got a thoughtful look on his face, then grinned.

"Bean. I really like that. Bean Bean!" I giggled, clapping.

"KC!" They all laughed while Kurt and i ran further into the living room, sitting down on the floor, just staring at each other. I really like this blue eyed boy...
