Brooke's POV

I ran down the stairs of the building and out to the parking lot, where Pete was parked, waiting for me.

I saw him in his bright orange lambourgini, modelling a huge grin on his face. I opened the door, to find they opened upwards instead of outwards like you see in the transformers movies. wow. How the hell did he get enough money to buy this? Oh and the Boxter Porsche he drove me home in the other day. Nevermind.

"hi" I said, as I climbed in. "hi" he whispered back. He was just staring at me now, still with that big old grin on his face.

I coughed, and he quickly looked down to the floor, embarrassed. I giggled at him and said "soo... Where do you wanna go?"

Instead of answering, he looked up at me again, and that huge doofus grin returned. He put the car in gear and started driving.

We pulled to a stop when the car got to the top of the hill.

He killed the engine and turned to look at me. Staring at me.

I looked down in embarrassment which he just laughed at. "come on" he whispered and we both climbed out to sit on the bonnet.

The view was amazing. Looking out over the whole of Chicago. The lights were so beautiful, it took my breath away.

I then realised i had been in my own little world while gazing out into the stunning scene and Pete was staring at .me again.

I looked into his eyes and gave a smile that he returned. He leaned in, kissing me sweetly and slowly, for what seemed like a heavenly lifetime.

He pulled away after a while and then we both just gazed into each others eyes.

And that was about the time I realised how corny this was. But it didn't make any difference. I just...

Everything about me is different when I'm with Pete.

The rest of the night was spent talking. A lot of talking. I feel like I know a lot about him now. We talked for four hours straight.

When I got cold, from the cool Illinois night, he lent me his hoodie.

It was perfect.

Until he dropped me home and left me to deal with a crazy Ashley.
