"Oh god. I-I'm sorry." I try to move myself away off his lap, but that made him tighten his hands on my waist and move me even closer to him. I frown and try harder to get away, but it doesn't work. I decide to let it go and just stay there.
"It's fine." He assures me with a smile. "I don't mind at all. You needed it." I smile back at him.
"So... may I get off now?" I ask him, a blush forming on my face. For a second he frowned, but then he realized I was still sitting on his lap.
"Ohh yeah, of course. Sorry." He looses his warm hands on his waist and I take this as a chance to get off. I quickly go sit a short distance away from him. I wanted to ask him why he all did this for me. Being there for me when I needed someone. We aren't that close. Damn, I think this is the first time we have ever spoken to each other. But anyways... I thought that maybe I could ask him later that. I brought my focus on drinking my Frappuccino. Dylan brought his Cappuccino to his lips and drank slowly it. I couldn't help but to watch him. What is it that he so suddenly decided to bring me here and be so concerned. I wonder.
"Are you hungry?" He asks so suddenly. I snap my eyes up to him.
"Uhh, only a bit." I say. Okay, that was such a lie. I was starving. I didn't got a chance to buy some food at the shop at the cinema. The cinema. Wait! Crap! I mentally slap myself. I totally forgot! I left Natalie over there. Ohh, she's going to be mad! Dylan seemed to notice my panick.
"Something wrong?" He asks me.
"No, not really... Well, actually yes! I left my friend at the cinema. I totally forgot about her." I sigh. What now?
"Well... to be honest... I ditched my friend as well." He grins a bit and I frown.
"Who?"
"Matt McAdam. Do you know him?" I felt the urge to chuckle. Of course I know him. Natalie used to have a huge crush on him. I'm not sure if that still is so. And of course. He's the querterback of the football team. And let's not forgot he's the most wanted popular guy in school. But anyways...
"Yeah, I know him." I was not going to lie about it. "Why did you ditch him?" I ask him.
"Ohh, he brought Lauren, his girlfriend, with him. It was quite unexpected as I haven't seen her around lately. Anyways... I didn't feel like being the fifth weel, so I decided to leave him with Lauren. I don't care. Well, not anymore."
"Why's that?" I ask him. I was curious why he didn't seem to care that his best friend counted him out.
"Well, I'm here with you and I'm quite enjoying myself." He says with a grin. I look down for a second, trying to hide my blush. Was he flirting? More importantly, why? "So, do you want go get him so food?' I wanted to respond that question but my stomach was ahead of me. He chuckles and drinks his last bit of his cappuccino. He stands up from his chair. "Come on, let's go."
"Wait, let me finish my drink." I drink up the last gulps and stand up. He chuckles once again and I frown. "What?" He grabs a napkin and wipes it around my mouth.
"You had some coffee over there." He leaves the napkin on the table and I blush.
"Right, let's go." I say. Oh god...
.
We are walking down the street. We didn't really had a destination we wanted to go to, but it looked like we were heading back to my house. I was picking on my chicken nuggets we bought at the mcdonalds. Once in a while Dylan would steal one. I still got a few left, but not much. I was desperate to know why Dylan was doing this. Caring and helping me. And I was gonna find out. We were just crossing the street and I stopped midways. Dylan stopped as well when he realized I was behind him. He frowned.
