"...if this job is so secret, why would you want to tell me..?"

L stayed facing the screen he was crouching at.

I was tempted to tell him that would give him a really bad posture in the future..

"...because...I trust you." L said in his usually tone.

"...what?" I said very much shocked.

L turned his head as I walked over towards him, and crossed my legs next to him.

I would have crouched like he was doing, but I didn't want him to think I was mimicking him.

"You see, I can't keep this a secret from you, you are very good at deducting."

"...huh?"

"Well, to be completly honest, I can see that you already knew that I was a detective. I'm not sure how." He said sipping his coffee.

My mouth dropped dramatically open as I hugged my legs from the draft.

"How on earth would you have figured that out??" I said, although imidietly regretted it after seeing L's eyebrows raise.

"-I mean I mean, I mean..." I stuttered.

"...I mean I didn't....well I had an idea of it an-"

"-there is no need to explain yourself, honestly if I where to tell you and explain to you how I know half the things I know about you...well I'm not sure you would like it." He said calmly facing his screen and typing away.

I sat cross legged on the floor once again with a face of horror.

I banged my fist on the floor and lunged myself towards him. " have you been spying on me???" L took a shock to my demanding answer and faced me jumply.

My face was actually quite close to his, but I was trying to intimidate him.

"You really are good at deducting aren't you.." He said sternly and quietly.

I shoved my face away and crossed my arms away from him pouting.

"...if it makes you feel any better, spying on you has aloud me to trust you."

"...how?" I said intrigued and turning towards him, still slightly annoyed.

"Well, that's just the type of person you are. A very silly, sometimes even crazy, animal loving and trust worthy person" L said with no tone, looking at me directly in the eye.

I looked back at him shocked, how...how did he know about my love for animals? I never told him..

"...wait how did you-"

"-you are very disconnected to the species around you. You appreciate, and very much value the lives of other creatures and animals, and would choose them over a human life."

"Yes but how-"

"-I can hear it in the tone of the way you speak to me about nature. You feel guilty for the disaster and mistake of the human race, and would do anything to change that, even extinct humans. Correct..?"

I felt tears in my eyes.

What L had just said, was accurate.

I swallowed and stood up as his eye line followed.

"...I'm tierd, I'm going to go sleep now." I reluctantly told him, honestly I felt scared that he knew that about me..

But firstly...

"...what are you doing?" L asked worried.

"Taking your papers and stuff."

L gasped and tried to stop me but I grabbed all the papers, and his laptop.
