Journal entry ~ Day 1.
I remember it like this-
"C'mon Gray it will be fun! I promise." My best friend Ashley giggled.
See it's my 17th birthday and I'm stuck choosing between staying home alone, or going out with my friends.
"Fine, but only because you're paying." I winked.
Ashley, Carla, Josh, and Austen were my four best friends since middle school. We have been inseparable ever since. Tonight they brought me out to a fancy restaurant called "magiano's"
We all ordered and I felt a draft on my neck so I peered around the corner and found a stranger, sitting alone, by himself at a table. His menu was covering his face and he was wearing all black.
"Gray, Gray!" Ashley raised her voice.
"Mmhm?" I hummed, still curiously examining the guy.
"What do you want for Christmas?" Carla took over.
I snapped my head back. "It's only October guys, I dunno yet." I shrugged my shoulders.
"You better figure it out soon, or you're Gettin' nothin'." Austen's accent spoke softly.
I chuckled and blushed a little.
Yeah, yeah I had a little crush on Austen ever since we met.
After dinner we exchanged out goodbyes and hugs and drove off into our cars.
I started to make my way towards the black Range Rover and got in.
As I made my way home I noticed my parents gone, again.
I went upstairs and got into a baggy T-shirt and went to sleep.
3am I got a text,
Not a good one. One that makes you feel as if the world stops in your tracks.
A text I regret even opening or looking at.
I stepped over to the window and glass shattered and knocked me out of my conscious state of mind.
All I remember was little visions of a jawline feature, my black Range Rover, a duffel bag, and 15 hours on the road.
It's only been 2 days living in this jail. I have no contact with anyone. I have no idea where I am. And I'm so scared.
