"So.. is she.. your girlfriend," Mom asked, teasing me as I tried to stop myself from smiling so much, "again?"
I shook my head, my smile faltering. "No, after what I did to her.. I'm here to ask for a second chance."
"You guys really ended off your relationship on a bad note." Dad added in as I slowly nodded my head.
"We weren't really in a relationship, Dad." I chuckled, "it was a fake relationship, to make Haeun jealous."
"Oh! I heard Haeun just got married with her high school boyfriend." Mom exclaimed as I nodded my head.
"I got invited to their wedding.. actually." I smiled as her eyes widened.
"Did you go?" I shook my head as she stopped the three of us in front of a room that was dark.
It was the room. The lights were off, and I was hoping that my parents moved onto another room. Seoyeon couldn't see this room, not now. She couldn't, she can't.
"Why don't we go into this room, shall we?" Mom asked, opening the door and turning on the lights.
The lights illuminated the room, showing all the pictures that I have taken for the past year. It was room filled with pictures of Seoyeon, and the two of us. It was a room dedicated only for her, and I couldn't let her see this room until I was ready to ask for a chance.
"Are you going to show this to her?" Dad asked, pointing to all the pictures of Seoyeon.
I nodded my head in reply, "I will, eventually.. when the right time comes. But for now, this room remains a secret. She can't see this, not yet."
"Wow.." Mom trailed off, walking around the room. "You really love her, don't you?"
I smiled, nodding my head. "I love her so much that it hurts me."
"Why did the two of you separate after high school?" Dad asked as I glanced over at him as he took a picture off of the clips.
"She was falling in love with me." I replied as Mom gasped. "And I hurt her.. because I wasn't in love with her at the time. I was confused because of Haeun."
"So.. that fake relationship resulted in her falling in love with you?" Mom questioned me and I nodded my head. "Who broke it off?"
"Seoyeon," I mumbled. "She broke it off because she knew it would be the best for the two of us. I promised her to run after Haeun for a second chance, and when I did, I found out she was already engaged."
"Girls like her are hard to find, Jungkook." Mom smiled.
"She told me to make myself happy first, to love myself first, so that I will be able to heal myself and be open to love another girl." I explained. "But I was so stupid.. I was in love with her all this time, but I was too blind to realize that."
"Is this why you're running after her?" Dad asked and I slowly nodded my head.
"She makes me really happy, Dad." I whispered. "I can't let her go knowing that I had fallen in love with her all this time.. when she was in love with me."
"You better not let her go this time," Mom patted my back. "You're lucky that she's still taking care of you after you hurt her like that. You're lucky that's letting you back into her life."
"What if she moved on?" I asked the question that feared me to death.
Mom simply chuckled, shaking her head. "Do you think she moved on?"
I shrugged my shoulders as she let out another laugh. "What?"
"I don't think she's moved on from you, Jungkook." She explained. "She's the one who brought us all the way from America for your birthday. Have you seen the way she takes care of you? Or the way she looks at you?"
