To my dearest A.
May two hearts be one.

You woke...
Ascertaining
 (Metropolis. In tears. Implacable.
  Cathedrals (with domes like
   Umbrellas (bouncing water as
Ducklings (do get confused by sprawls of (exhausted)
     Spilled coffee (dyeing
      Puddles (harboring
Ambrotypes like a century of things dozing off.))))))
This sky of moth.

(By virtue of a latte)
Remembering someone (Last summer.)
                                                                                         reminiscence
Letting winter alone (Her pale, pale rites.)
                                                                                         forfeiting
Profound silence (A Christmas town.)
                                                                                        utterances
Why? Nothing felt alike.

I fell ... dreaming
Two cities, a language apart.
One raining; one not.
Where two found a piece of hearts amiss
Yet - knowing without speech:
Love (?) is as love is.

"Has your language -
some same words same thoughts -
(that exclusive sound)
when uttered -
I don't know it, but you mean -
so much ...  So much more?"

an idea - where I divine
the meticulous -
(a need to heal)
imperative, that I wake knowing
how you feel.
