Chapter Two: Flashes

Point of View: Perseus Jackson

I wake to warmth in my side and see it is the wolf. My eyes widen and I bolt up. It looks over at me and watches me. I get up and back away. Then I dart into the forest, running from it. Far and wide. I don't stop for hours and when I look back, I see it is still following me. Then I look ahead, but I can't stop.

Artemis holds her hand out and then stops me with a finger on my forehead. I huff out air and drop to my knees in front of her. "Perseus Jackson. So, this is who the Fates chose to be next. Welcome to the family, boy. All will be explained when you pass through The Moonlight Phasing."

Right when she's done talking, my world goes dark and the wolf catches me, completely human.

Short chapter, I know, my lovely readers. But this is a very short chapter for a reason.
