Oh no. Is there a hole in the ground that can swallow me up? Please?
I look at Blake and see his jaw clenched; he does that a lot when he's angry. He's looking at me so intensely and he is demanding an answer. It won't hurt, right?
"He was Michael, the guy I told you about in art. We broke up because he cheated on me and I never forgave him for it. He says he's never forgotten about me and is still hung up on me but the only time he comes running back is when his flings disappear. Honestly, I don't even care. Once a cheat, always a cheat."
Blake didn't say anything but sat there with a determined expression on his face. His low growl as he let his words slip out shocked me.
"I'm going to kill him."
Now, I was completely shocked. I put my hand on his shoulder -demanding he looks at me - and without thinking took his hand in mine. He wrapped his and in mine, intertwining our fingers. He visibly calmed down and I sighed with relief.
"You scared me." I whispered to him, I didn't want the whole class to hear.
He looked at me with regret in his eyes.
"Birdie, I didn't mean to. Please, forgive me?"
The bell went off and I stood up, not bothering to answer his question. We have break now so I turned to him and said,
"We have break now, you can come with me if you want or you can go and find every other damn popular around here and meet me afterwards in the foyer. What do you want to do?"
"I want to stay with you."
I nodded my head and led him to my friends. They were all sitting at our normal chairs in the normal seats however when they saw me approaching they shut up. This was probably because of the hunk of muscle that was trailing behind me.
