The handshake ended just as quickly as it started as he pulled away and re-stuffed it as deep as possible in his black hoodie pocket.

"I'm so excited to live next door to you, Elliot." Angela said gushing to her childhood friend who seemed a bit uneasy though he smiled at her words.

"Me too, Angela." he replied watching her actions with a small smile. "I should be going though. Flipper needs fed. Uh it was nice meeting you, (y/n)."

"Nice meeting you too." you replied as he stared at you for a few moments in silence before turning on his heal to leave. Shifting in your spot, you couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable at the longer than average stare that he had just given you with his dark wide eyes.

Elliot walked out of the room completely as you watched him fiddle with his key in the hallway. Unlocking his door, he quickly disappeared behind it as you blinked a few times coming back to reality only you to notice Angela watching you with a wide smile.

"What?" you asked walking toward the door to shut it once the movers had been completely done bringing your belongings inside.

"What do you mean what?" Angela asked still wearing that smile. "What was with all the staring?"

"What staring? I wasn't staring..." you argued back as she crossed her arms with a smug look.

"Oh yes you were. And he was staring at you too. I've never seen Elliot so fixed on something other than his computer screen." she argued back as you felt some blood rush to your cheeks. "Oh my god you're blushing! I can set you guys up on a date if you want."

"No no no no." you said quickly shaking your head. "If I'm going to go on any date I'm going to set it up myself."

"Okay okay..." she laughed sensing your discomfort. "Here I'll make you dinner." Walking to the kitchen area Angela opened the refrigerator door before quickly closing it.

"What did you give up?" you asked watching her actions before she turned around with a smile.

"We need to go grocery shopping. We don't have any food." she laughed as she walked over to the table grabbing her purse.

Walking to where you left your bag, you swiftly grabbed it bringing the strap to your shoulder securely. Leaving the safety of your small apartment, you and Angela took off down the hallway and down the stairs toward the lobby. The bright sun light poured into your face as you walked back onto the crowded sidewalk. Feeling overwhelmed at the volume of people, you felt Angela link her arm with yours.

"Come on, we'll take the subway." she suggested beginning to walk down the sidewalk. "It's too difficult to drive where the store is."

"Oh okay..." you replied sounding a bit unsure of the entire situation. This had been a massive change to what you were used to. People spoke on cellphones loudly and almost bumped into you with each passing as they hurried to their desired location.

Before long, the entrance to the subway appeared as Angela almost had to drag you into the underground area. People waited on both sides of the platform anxiously awaiting for the trains to come forward. When the train finally did, the doors opened allowing the occupants to pour into the already crowded waiting area. Pushing your way toward the entrance of the train door, Angela pulled you down into a seat in the back away from the rest of the riders.

Taking deep breaths trying to remain calm from the crowded space, you pulled out your phone and opened the Facebook application. Though within moments, you had been logged out without any warning.

"What the hell..." you whispered to yourself looking at the log in screen before you.

"What's up?" Angela asked hearing your words.
